No, it shows up again.... I have decided to part exchange the car... I went to a few places for the last 2 days, they offered me between 4500 to 5500 even with 2 of the warning lights flashing.... Not bad....

The warning first appeared last night and it still showing up today. This warning comes on usual around 2-5 mins after I started the car. Where is the sensor? Is it behind the lexus logo in the grill bar?

Hi all This light comes on yesterday....and on the dash it say check PCS systems.....(pre collision systems) Anyone knows what caused it? The only thing I have done is take the car for a hand car valet yesterday. Only after a few hours after the valet, this light comes on. Could be coincidence ... Quite worry about it....

exactly the same experience Done a search on my car it says D2R/S and i actually bought the bulb and it doesn't work (it blows within 3 secs) you would need D4S cheers

Hi all I want to change my brake pad but to rewind the piston I would need the tool with a adapter. Do you know what size adapter do i need to for my GS450H 2006 caliper piston? thanks S

one of the sensor's thread has wear off so it kept losing pressure I managed to get hold of a 2nd hand sensor.... is there a way I can take the sensor apart so that I can use the existing sensor but replacing the thread using the replacement... so that i don't need to get dealer to re-program it?

hi guys, Vicente yes, you are right, they are not able to doing anything towards the cost as I bought it privately. Lesson Learned. However, I hope once this is fixed, everything would be fine for another 100k miles.... thanks guys!!!

I am writing to Lexus UK....and asking if they can do something about it... i.e. contribute a % of the bill do you think they will consider anything like this? Which department of Lexus UK do I need to contact?

may talk to Lexus UK and see if they are willing do anything. The car has full Lexus Service History except one service about 4 years ago. It is at 87000 miles.... Just searching on clubLexus and see some others have similar issues and roughly same price to fix...2,500USD

one additional point, from the day I bought the car, when it started cold, it has a loud initial noise... may be this is related to the vvti failure?

Car broke down on Tuesday night and Lexus just called after their inspection. RAC thought it was the Crankshaft sensor but actually is a lot worse! They told me is VVTi related issue. I have not much idea what exactly that means. All he said there are a number of parts damage and need replacing and is a BIG job. And this is only one side of the engine they have open up...so he said potentially but unlikely there will be more issue once they have opened up the other side. The cost .... £2k.... discounted now at £1.7k, I have no choice but ask him to proceed as I only bought the car 2 months ago.... anybody has any experience of this sort of issues before? Is this a common failure? I asked the guy why would this happen as the car has always been service by Lexus and the last service is only 2500 miles ago. He said unfortunately, is just bad luck this time....

Managed to get home at 3am ....the car will be with Lexus today and they will inspect it either today or tomorrow.... I hope that is only the only issue and not going to be too expensive to sort out....

RAC arrived and use it's computer to checked and it comes up with crankshaft sensors faulty. Now Waiting to be tow to Lexus... another 2 hrs wait...not good.... Not sure How reliable is his RAC computer...

Oh dear ..... does that mean battery needs replacing? It is 06 plate, would that still under warranty for the battery. I will wait a bit and try restart and see what happened..

Guys Please help, my gs450h just suddenly lost power and warning flashing. It says check hybrid system and check vsb and check ecb. Now Waiting for help to arrive but in the mean could anyone tells me what I should expect?

Hello My passenger side HID is not working properly. When I switch it on, it will be on for about 5 seconds before it is off. I just replaced the bulb (cheap eBay bulb) and it had the same behaviour, Do you guys know what could be the issue? Would it worth getting a proper Philips bulb? If it is the ballast, how much would that cost to fix? :-( Thanks Simon

Hi all I have read quite a few post related to noise at cold start for 450H Unsure if the other post are related to my issue so I would like to ask you all to see if you have experience the issue and what could be the possible cause and fix. Yesterday was quite a hot day, i opened all the window before starting the engine, then once I press the brake and press the start button, I heard the starting noise..... the way to describe the noise, is like having lots of beans from the bean bag and scattered over a thin sheet of metal...... thanks Simon

Oh on top, the wing mirror rotate downward on reserve on work sometime....
