  1. Perhaps I need just a mast then Rick ! The metal has broken off but I have a long stretch of white serrated plastic left.
  2. Thanks John. I will contact Lexus now regarding a replacement.
  3. I have been a complete plank today as I used a drive through car wash for the first time and turned the radio on whilst in there !! Yes, you've guessed it - the car aerial is now a folded mess. Could anyone advise where I could pick up a new one and also let me know how difficult it is to fit. Thanks, Jim.
  4. I have just had my SC430 passed without changing the headlights - thank goodness !!! As some of you chaps have advised it would seem that the flat beam is acceptable for both LHD and RHD so I fortunately have saved the cost of buying replacement headlights !!! Pheeeww. One thing I do notice is that the main beam is very low and cannot find a switch to adjust it as I can do on my other cars. Is it possible to raise the beam at all from inside the car or is it a spanner and screwdriver job ?
  5. Back in France now and achieved 30 mpg driving mainly motorway. A lovely drive I must say.
  6. Thanks for the comments fellah's. I am really looking forward to pick up time and then a lovely long drive back home to France. For anyone interested here is the link to the lovely lady - http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201310269474103/sort/default/usedcars/maximum-mileage/up_to_45000_miles/maximum-age/up_to_7_years_old/model/sc/make/lexus/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/page/1/postcode/ca101je/radius/1500?logcode=p
  7. Picking up my 2007 SC430 next monday. Looked at a BMW 630 first but fell in love with the Lexus the moment I sat in that lovely leather seat and looked around at the sheer quality of the interior. 40,000 on the clock and just serviced by Lexus so should be running sweet when I drive her back to France. Happy days !!
  8. Now that is welcome news Shaun, many thanks.
  9. Thanks for the link Paul. Very interesting indeed and something I will try and check out with Lexus.
  10. Hi Paul. I have been talking to Lexus dealers and they all seem to think that I will need new headlights but cannot quote to supply them !! Could you give me a link to previous posts on this subject because I am unable to find anything. Many thanks, Jim.
  11. Well, this is most interesting and would save me a lot of cash if it is confirmed. Thanks very much.
  12. That's good to know peter, thanks.
  13. Hi Peter. I perhaps have not made my situation clear. It is just the LHD headlights that I will be looking for and certainly not contemplating bringing a car over from the States. Thanks for the reply anyway.
  14. Thanks Peter. It certainly would seem that the USA is the best best for me however my only concern is whether or not the USA SC430 has the same specs. and fittings as a European model. Perhaps someone could comment on this.
  15. Thanks Steve. I never considered looking at Ebay in the USA ! I will check out import costs but it looks a good option. Thanks again Steve.
  16. Good morning. I am planning to buy a SC 430 ( 2006 onwards) in the next couple of months and will be registering it in France where I have a home. My problem is finding out where I can obtain a pair of LHD headlights to replace the RHD that will be on the car. I would appreciate and help that fellow members can give as, much as I love the SC 430, unless I can resolve this problem I will not be able to purchase one ! many thanks, Jim.
