  1. Hello to everyone in the RX forum

Acquired a 2016 RX450h premier a few weeks ago  first night drive in it tonight. all pretty much as expected (looks almost the same as my GS300h)

however i did notice that the thumbwheels for all of the air vents are not illuminated at night. They are in the GS but it is a 2018 model. had to get in later and check!

Does anyone know if they should be illuminated as i cant find a mention of it in the manuals

    cheers

    David

  2. My GS300 was part ex'd for my current car 18/12 ago (2005 GS300) only got few hundred from dealer to avoid dealing with anyone else. within a few weeks appeared on autotrader for approx 10 times the amount i got for it. this i think might have been in birmingham but sold in Stoke. At the time i asked them what they did with the part exs and they said they went straight into the auction market. so someone bought it to make a quick profit

  3. I have window deflectors on my gs3300h they were already installed when i bought the car (poassibly lexus own make). I am not sure what they actually do. I never drive with the window open only a small way. I think they create wind noise at motorway speeds. I havent worked out a way to remove them yet as i cant work out how they are attached. the dealer has offered to take money from me to work out how they can be removed!.

    Grumpy from Stoke

  4. that arrangement looks very similar to the GS. the sleeve was definitely plastic and the cross brace was folded steel. as you drop the Battery in the rear most bolt for the retainer bar is only hooked in a slot witha plastic clip stopping it falling off. i hit mine with the Battery on the way in and the bolt fell into the Battery tray. so therefore struggled to position and get the nut on! only just thought about it now but perhaps a cable tie could be used to stop it falling in
