  1. Hi Richard Mine only seems to happen when it's been driving for a couple of hours ,I have since taken the egr valve off to see if that was clogged but it wasn't .i have put some stuff in the tank that makes it regen at lower heat . I've not done a long run yet , when I have I will post the results Regards Gary
  2. Hi all Finally got round to cleaning the egr valve out and it was fairly clean only a small dusting of build up , so would this suggest the dpf will be the culprit . Thanks gary
  3. Hi all on a few long trips I have noticed the engine feeling lumpy when it's been driving for an hour or 2 mainly when going up hill , could this be the egr valve being clogged up. The cars a 220d 2007 with 60k miles mpg not fab low 40s on a good run Thanks gary
  4. Hi all merry xmas Just done a journey from South Coast to London and I noticed a slight hesitation whilst driving at 70mph it was very slight but noticeable . My car is a 07 plate 60k 220 d with a diesel chip in and I was driving with the revs just over 2200rpm in 5th . Could be carbon/. Soot build up in the system or could it be the chip ? Any ideas anyone Thanks in advance Gary
  5. Hi steve2006 Thanks for the replies , I have since spoken to the boss who is going to get another technician to have a look at it , but he says it's a common fault with the is220d , is this so or is that just a line . If the bearing does give up the ghost completely what sort of damage will it cause is suspect a lot. Is anyone else living with a worn clutch release bearing has it got louder in time ? Thanks Gary
  6. Hi all Just bought my 1st lexus a 2007 220d 60k miles from lexus dealer in Croydon , and as well as numerous other problems that I have found out since buying it I noticed a chirping sound which disappears if you touch the clutch pedal lexus have agreed that it's the clutch release bearing that has worn and making the noise but won't do anything about it as it's not detrimental to the operation or safety of the car , but my problem is now I have noticed it it's driving me nuts does anyone know how I stand legally asking for them to change it ? Also the rear view mirror vibrates at the slightest bit of bass from the stereo has anyone stopped this . Thanks amie399
