  1. Hey, thanks for the reply, Castlederg mate, you? Hmm... Must look into that, I remember looking up new slides before but could only get them from America. This grease fixed yours then? Any idea what it was called?
  2. Hey all. Having a problem. I have a shake/judder in the car, got wheels all balanced again which didn't help. Checked power steering fluids. Basically it's not all the time and mainly comes in about about 8-9 mile journey, the steering seems to judder to if moving it left and right and gets way worse when breaking. Checked wheels also which were tight then after a bit it might go away for a little bit. Speed doesn't seem to matter. I took it to my mechanic and he said the front caliper was jammed solid, he got it freed up and I thought it wasn't bad but it's came back. Anyone any other ideas? Perhaps my caliper is past repairing?
  3. I also have an after market radio and the clock also works with no problems, You shouldn't have that much problems with the cable, its a fairly straight forward pug and play kit, hardest part i found was getting the plugs out from the back of the amp with my big fat hands lol.
  4. Hey all, have a wee problem, some times (more than most) I get a shudder when accelerating in 1st and sometimes 2nd, don't seem to get it in other gears. I know its not the clutch, as it was doing it before we changed the clutch and it still remains. The rear shocks are quite soft but not busted, going from other guys who have an is200 around me theirs is the same softness, but ill not rule them out? anyone else know what it might be? I also noticed when I was acting the wag (diffing, on private ground) it was shuddering A LOT and it didn't make any difference when I changed the tyres. I know the car is perhaps not made for that kind of abuse but the other guys around my area have the same cars and they don't experience the same issues.
  5. Hey all, having problems, car just started this tonight. Car will turn over no problem but will not start unless you touch the throttle slightly. Anyone know what might be wrong, runs fine when started and idles fine.
  6. I haven't actually. Do you not need to mod the Ecu for those as well?
  7. Thanks for the replys guys. I'm not looking a lot more power, just a little more. Would love to increase the rev limiter a little but we going into big money for custom Ecu and that. So I assume these chips can't be got any more then no?
  8. Hey and thanks. Yea done all the usual upgrades, was informed that a chip will help a bit more. Now while I don't know a lot about them I do believe its a piggy back Ecu I think the terms are. Supercharging would def be the way I would love to go but it's way way out of budget for me I recon.
  9. Hey guys, I know this topic has been discussed in many lengths with various people but I want to ask my own question. Is there any chipping/modding service out there that covers the is200? e.g. piggy back ECU or the likes? I know you have to have mods already done which is fine. But when I do a search through the site all the topics about any of these mode are like from years ago. Thanks in advance..
  10. Bought the Exedy clutch from these guys myself yesterday as my own is slipping like mad, it landed today, looks exactly the same as your box except the price difference. http://www.carparts4less.co.uk/cp4l/c/Lexus_IS_2.0_2000/p/car-parts/car-transmission/clutch-and-associated-parts/clutch-kit/?641821460&1&f9462282b6dd06d0124a686267965fdb1b616c20&000069
  11. Awesome, thanks for the info, do you need an adaptor for the normal antenna? I see it's built into the radio so it doesn't unplug unless a joint comes with the adaption kit? Any kits you can link me to that would work with me? Also dab radio would be awesome.
  12. Thank for the reply, does the sound be as good? Yea I have the amp system. Do you pick up radio stations on your head unit?
  13. Hey all, I'm new here and hope someone can help me, I've searched through the forums but can't seem to find the exact answer I need. I was to change/adapt the radio in my car as I love my music and mp3's are my choice of audio format. I know the CD changer doesn't take mp3s so I'm wondering what are my options? 1. I already have a 3rd party stereo from my last car and might like to use it. 2. The broadcast radio is brill to have as I never had it in my last car (Audi a4) and don't really want to lose it by changing the radio. 3. I heard there is an amplifier for the stock radio? if so can a 3rd party radio make use of this? 4. I have seen these adaptation kits on ebay to use with stock radio but it doesn't display album or track name on the display. Any way around this? Thanks for any help guys.
