  1. Hi Coneybiller, I got the issue sorted. turns out it was an old code in the history of the ECU so it could have been there for some time now. They cleared faults and gave it a full bill of health including the Spark Plug change. well worth the €650 to get all the fluids changed including the brake fluid. Overall a very happy chappy. Just need to collect the mats and update the Sat Nav dvd and change the rear tyres and we are all set for a trip to the Nurburgring. cant wait.
  2. Welcome to the club man.. You will love the GS. I bought mine just 10 days ago and i love it. Mine is a 2007 model with full options list. I found it fairly quickly and just decided to go for it. Mine too needed some attention. It has covered 60k miles and it was due a full service which i got done yesterday. Check the spark plugs have been done as they need replacing every 50k and they are a bitch to change. Im in Dublin and it cost €300 just to have the plugs changed, something about the location of the rear 2 plugs being time consuming. A full service includes the brake fluid, oil, filters and a full diag check which will look for any faults logged on the ECU. The dash rattle can be fixed by getting a small piece of cloth, about 3 inches by 6, roll it over a few times to about 2 inched by 2 and stull it down the dash between windscreen and the dashboard. It goes to the right side of the left speaker on the dash. This sorted my rattle. Headlights that go on and off are a sign of bulds which are past their best, i replaced both of mine and the differrence is jugh so really worth your while getting them done. Get the jobs done and you wil have a cracker..
  3. Go to http://lexus-mapupdates.eu/ find you new part number for the disk required You will need your original cd part code and you can get this from the CD changer in the glove box. (At least that's where it is on my 450h). when you have the part number buy one on ebay for half the price.
  4. Hi Lads, as previously mentioned my newly acquired GS 450h has thrown up the following codes: P0174 - System Too Lean (Bank 2) P0335 - Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" circuit. I had the fault reset last night and no sign of a re occurrence this morning - any ideas what these faults are and should I be worried.. I have it booked into a Lexus dealer next week for a full service as there is 60K miles on the clock and it needs new plugs and fluids but it will be 100% right after that. Just worried about this code and what it means. Thanks for any assistance. Ken.
  5. Hi guys, just collected a 07 450h and would you believe it as soon as I get home I start the car to set up my phone and the engine management light is on? Am I correct is saying if I disconnect the battery for a few minutes it will clear the error and all should be good - as long as the error isn't still there? Also will this leave me needing a code for the radio? Thanks ken.
  6. Hi lads I'm picking up a 2007 GS 450 h this week and I want to upgrade the wheels. I think the standard 18' are too small. Thinking of goin 19'. Are there any pics of potential upgrade wheels I could go for.
