  1. Sherbourne castle in Dorset. It's a nice show with a nice back drop so good for a family day out, weather permitting. I have been to a lot of shows with soc and this was one of my favourites. I will try and post some pictures up tonight from my visit there a couple of years ago. Not sure if I'm allowed to put links up so take it down if I'm breaking any forum rules. Here is the website. www.classicsatthecastle.co.uk
  2. Thanks Stuart, was thinking of going to the big car show at Sherbourne House in Dorset on the 20th of July. Took my last car there a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it as it has something for everyone. is anyone else going this year?
  3. I did ask them but they said they had not heard of it being done as an option which I thought was strange as my wifes rav4 had the option. Taking the wife and two grand children to Somerset Friday for a long weekend so hopefully take some pictures then and post them next week..
  4. I think I will just do the bonnet as the materials bumpers are made of seem to be more resistant to chips for some reason, perhaps they flex a bit so are more forgiving.
  5. Picked up my ISF last week which is a 2013 model and at the moment stone chip free. Anyhow due to all the recent road repairs and the lack of mudguards on modern cars I'm expecting some to appear over the next year or two, so was wondering if anyone knows if Lexus sell a clear bra protection kit for the front end of the car or at least a strip for the front edge of the bonnet or if you can recommend a company that can fit one. thanks
  6. Basically I got too old at 52 Funny story about the Skyline, I was driving it on my way to southend and a couple of young girls in a mini i could see where creeping up the side of me in traffic to peek in and check me out. Because i had privacy glass they had to get right up level to see me and due to both our windows being down at the time when they finally got level and looked over i heard one say to the other "oh yuk no it's an old man" . so i decided from that point it would be of better use in the hands of a young buck. TBH it was my hobby from 2006 until this year. It was put together using the best aftermarket parts available at the time and built by Torque Developments in Thurrock. There are some pictures here and a bit about the engine build. http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=110088&highlight=engine+build
  7. This is the car and my previous car below. My previous car was a skyline 350gt which had a Cosworth twin turbo engine putting out 560rwhp.
  8. Hi all, This is my first post so thought i would say hello to all the members. I have today just put a deposit down for a 2013 mercury grey isf from the Twickenham Lexus dealer. I managed to get 3.5K off of the advertised price which i thought made it a decent price being a 2013 car with just a tad over 1,000 miles on the clock. Which would make it 15K off a new price :) . I used to own a modified skyline 350gt and was a moderator on the Skyline owners forum for the 350z and 350gt section (hence my user name). Hoping to pick her up next Saturday and try to get to some meetings so i can pick up a few tips etc. The dealer is going to do the one year service but was looking to have her serviced in future at Westfield motors in Rawreth Essex who seem to be a Toyota/Lexus specialist but not a dealer, has anyone had any experience in using them. I use them to service my wifes Rav4 and they seem pretty fair on prices. Tom
