  1. Hi Colin, thanks for the reply, which vents do you mean ? are you meaning the from air intake? that's pretty big looks all clear and good.
  2. Just FYI Car was warmed up battery was about half full just didn't feel like Usaine bolt on crack tonight ......more like it had just smoked a pack of camels and slapped on a gass mask to do it's 100m sprint. Battery seems ok as it charges right up to 90-100% regularly maybe I'm driving it to hard and it wants a rest every now and then?
  3. It's odd but some days it feels like a real weapon from 0-70mph and 50-70 / 70+ but other days it pulls hard but seems less aggressive? To get full power does it need all bars on the battery to be full or is it a temperature thing? 90% of the time it goes like a stabbed rat and pushes you hard into the seat, 10% of the time it feels like it's not making the effort deffo less power battery half full......but electric needle doesn't want to swing all the way to the top looks less eager? maybe it's just me?
  4. This is quite interesting love hearing stories of people brave enough to to get their hands dirty on tech that most of us don't understand lol It's things like this where you will no doubt fix this for a fraction of the predicted price and give hope to others if and when it happens. good on you Giles! :)
  5. "After i received the sensor i just got it fitted on the new alloy and with the mini VCI and Toyota techstream i have registered in the tpms ecu and everything was fine , no more tpms light on dash" Sorry to sound thick but what is the mini VCI and toyota tech stream is it soft wear you can buy ?
  6. I've seen some rx8 19"s that looks really cool will those fit for sure ? Just had a horrible thought.....this car has TPSM sensors in the wheels? Is there a way to disable them ? I know in my 5 series the light came on once when I fitted new alloys without the sensors fitted I reset the light and that was that. Can it be disabled so the alarm and light don't come up? I see that cost a fortune and can be problematic anyway if they break when changing tyres. Want to keep the original alloys for winter rubber and swap Nov so don't want the nightmare of having to mess about with sensors, I'd rather just remove it or disable it. If it can't be disabled can I just throw them in the boot and reset the system at 0psi? thanks again for the advice guys
  7. I'll have a gander on the bay and see what I can find mate. wider should be ok too because the standard ones sit a little shallow as they are?
  8. As mentioned all over the place the alloys corrode and i have noticed mine are bubbling a little and have obviously been re sprayed at some point. Can the GS or IS / RX models like the 250, 300, 430, 450h ..... share the same wheels across the range ie if i see a set for a similar year gs ie a 2008 model will they fit my 2008 gs450h Would be great to be able to type something other than gs450h into wheelbase and have a crap choice to choose from if other models fit too. I'm clueless about offsets and that kind of thing. I'd just like to upgrade to some classy 19"s at some point as I feel my standard rims are letting the car down a tad and it deserves some nice rims :) I've looked about but options are limited, however if other models share the same sizes it would open up a lot of options ? Thanks guys ! Love this forum!! :)
  9. Hi Colin uncalled today and they conformed this two years for 995 is a limited period only till the end of Sep?
  10. Colin, yea they will let me pay DD 0% which is what I'll have to do as I Px'd my Audi plus 2.5k so am wiped out now but Really need to cover this kind of car I think and 3 years cover in total (inc the year they gave as standard) would be peace of mind. just not sure if to do the full 995 to include the satnav and hifi electrics not heard any horror story's about that? May stick to 795 for the one that covers all the mechanics for 2yrs??
  11. He got the bloody price wrong John, the 795 price covers everything except the electrics of the satnav and gubbins in the cabin. the 995 one for 2 years covers the LOT I'm going back in a day or two to sign up on one or the other. Jesus holy crap it's fast though my god it turned my kids Chinese in the back! I set off from the dealer at 6pm tonight and got home at 5:30pm so actually went back in time........ I LOVE this car !!!
