  1. Thanks very much for your help!

Yeah I don't just need a normal service kit though, as I said its basically a full service the next time so I need a few other bits, and it's reached the mileage to do the rear diff oil.

Yeah I understand it's all personal preference, I'm gonna check out all the stuff you've showed me there and see what it's like!

I think I'm going for Fuchs GT1 it's supposed to be decent.

Yeah that's the thing with me, it is slightly about cost because I hate being charged £70 an hour or whatever and you don't know what they are doing with your car, but yeah I also want to learn about the car, I knew my last car inside out, a Honda Civic EP3. Because I did everything myself or with friends if I couldn't. I think I was put off slightly with the lexus as it's the first diesel ive ever owned, it's the newest car ive ever owned and quite frankly I didn't want to ***k it up!

Thanks again for your help :)

  2. i want to do mine too, was going to go custom as its easier and usually cheaper, i think it would look awesome I'm gonna keep single pipe as i think it'd look better and won't look like you're trying to pretend its a 250 or ISF haha. Looking at the back box as standard from the back of the car, the exhaust pipe goes into the box on the left side (towards the middle of the car) and the box is quite wide and exits at the right corner of the bumper. I'm thinking with a straight through system from the DPF, and a 3 inch exit you'd get a natural JDM tilt on the exhaust hopefully! Would look awesome id love to see if it can be done.

  3. I know exactly what you mean I hate the turbo lag especially after having a petrol before! i looked at a race chip, one in Germany think it was around £220 but i believe that Toyota actually do one as well? Where did you get the sprint booster from and how much?

  4. Hi James,

    Welcome to the forum.

F Sport bars will not fit your car and lexus are probably right if they are suggesting that you would need modifications to get them in.

On the other hand the JUN-TW bars should fit your car out of the box.

I can't comment on the voiding warranty bit. The JUN-TW bars are yellow in color and very easy to spot if your car is on the ramp. It's probably something that won't go by unnoticed at the dealers.

Just had a look at the Jun tw website all i can say is wow they have so many parts! Expensive but the parts look epic! wish i had the money haha

  5. Hi guys,

I've decided to do the servicing on my car at my friends garage after being on a Lexus service plan for a few months. Had one service and decided I'm paying too much.

My only questions now are finding parts for my service as i would like to source my own parts and try to get branded and possibly uprated parts so i know whats going into my engine and car and peace of mind that its really good stuff. I want to look after my car as best as i can as i use it for work and do 110 miles a day so as you can imagine the mileage is racking up, 15k in 6 months!

So do you guys know where to get any decent branded possibly uprated parts for a service, and how much of the oils i will need?

For my next service I need:

Engine Oil (been told 5W-30 fully synthetic either Castrol Edge or one of the Fuchs range)

    Oil Filter

    Rear Differential Oil

    Brake fluid

    Fuel Filters

Air conditioning filter (obviously this will be OEM as it won't make a difference haha)

Thanks very much for your help,

    Chris

  6. Ive just ordered 6k hids for the dipped beams as the standard halogens are awful haha, Ahh that's decent then! I'm after getting a custom exhaust with a decent looking jap backbox angled, I imagine it sounds decent to be honest as its a big engine and turbo so ahould get a good noise, how far have you gone with the system? Like just replaced the backbox or gone for a full straight through?
