  1. That's awesome sounds really good to be honest, where is yours from dude?
  2. That's pretty decent then, maybe it was a different chip and map? Could be a better one than the one Levi got?
  3. Ahh that's alright then, no good for me like, London is miles away haha
  4. Ahh right I see that's strange! So you had to take your car to them to get it changed?! Must have been a nightmare going through all that though!
  5. Ahh really? Yeah I'd heard this was gonna speak to TDI North near me, yeah that's understandable but easier to use it's just that a remap is custom to the car and the car will react and perform better to this than a standard tuning box
  6. Yeah just had a look actually! To be honest Id rather remap but heard it can't be done on this car?! If It can't be remapped I'm gonna get a tuning box instead
  7. Ahh that's good then! May consider getting them. Ahh right where are TDI tuning based? And is it a chip or a rolling road remap? Also how much was it? Ive seen one that is supplied by Toyota it's supposed to make an extra 35hp and 70nm and its £375
  8. If I was getting lowering springs that's what I was gonna get just wanted to hear a few reviews etc haha, how many miles you done on them now? Looks really good perfect height
  9. Looks really good that Levi, what springs have you got on? And what's the ride like after fitting? Yeah j do agree would look awesome with spacers but would need to get new hubs to be honest for that much of a gap
  10. Really? By how much? Can't see it being that terrible to be honest haha
  11. Yeah I agree with that! The arch gap is stupidly large on the 220d :(
  12. I guess I'm with you too man, I'd rather rip it out forget about it and gain the extra 80hp or so with a remap haha but I will just do that when it gets blocked or something, I wanna try and look after it the best I can to be honest
  13. Ahh ok that's interesting, well it would be a hell of a lot easier without a dpf there in the first place! So how often are you supposed to do a 'forced regen?' And also how often would you need to take it off and get it cleaned? Thanks for your help
  14. Yeah I was gonna get the internals removed I also believe that it can be done and MOT passed that's what I meant. I don't know anyone who's done it. Just out of interest what price were you quoted for this? I was told its around £5-600?
  15. Yeah I understand that thanks! Yeah I will have a look at it once it's been serviced so if I do need to clean it then it's been serviced etc. that's good news then I hope it is in good shape! Oh right ok Ive never heard of that stuff, I run my car on v power diesel anyway for peace of mind but I will have a look at this stuff too, where's the best place to get it from? Thanks for your help
  16. Normski2, Is this relatively easy to do? Always been worried about the DPF problem on most common diesels and the EGR, however i travel 110 miles a day for work and I'd say 70% of it is motorway. My car is 2010 and currently is on 37,500 miles, will be getting a service in 1000 miles. Just wondering if I would have to do this also and so often? I don't mind doing it just want to be sure :) With all the miles i do and mostly motorway I'm hoping my DPF should stay fairly clean? If it does end up basically getting 90% clogged up I think the best thing to do would be rip it out?! Thanks
  17. Hi Shuaibakhtar, Quick question, been looking at lowering springs myself, where did you get the H&R springs from? and also what size spacers did you get for it? and again where from? Looking awesome after the springs and spacers love it Thanks
  18. Hi guys, relatively new on here, bought my 2010 is220d on 1st September this year. Ive been contemplating a few modifications myself, I've already got a K&N replacement panel filter on mine fitted it only last week. If and when i get enough money id love to get a custom exhaust on from the DPF, Ive heard the cats can be removed and still pass emissions? looking at £2-300. Ive also been trying to decide weather to get 35mm lowering springs which are roughly £150 or proper BC Coilovers which are £700? if i got alloys id go for bronze Rotas. Also been wanting a remap of some kind thinking a rolling road remap would be better? I want to try and get rid of the huge lag low down and in between gear changes! Thanks guys
