I have trued to follow the instructions in the manual for replacement of the cabin air filter and I have hit a roadblock. I have set the air direction to recirculating and have cleaned out the glove box, including the small platform. However, unlike previous models of the LS460, I cannot get off the dark 'door' in front og the filter bracket. In the past you would just push up the door and it would tip out as shown in the manual. In the 2017 model, there is nothing I see that you can grab on to push the 'door' up and out. I haven't see anything online for this model. HELP!!

Finally figured out tat the easiest way is topry the rubber out first. Actually not very hard to do. After that the metal rods slide out easily - no pliers needed. Don't know why posts that I had read reccomend pulling out the rods first.

I just got the rubber insert from the Lexus dealer (driver's side) but haven't been able to get the rubber blade out of the assemble. The threads that I have read describe sliding out the metal rods after grabbing with pliers but they don't seem to slide out in either direction. Any advice would be appreciated.

The LS430 is a great auto but the Lexus Link system is a ripoff. The first year is free but if you cancel after that period you still get a message every time you start the engine trying to get you to sign up again. Evidently many people have complained to Lexus (according to their Customer Service) but 'they are working on a solution'. They have been 'working' since at least last October when I started calling. I suggest that everybody that is annoyed with this situation just push the 'services' key everytime that they start their engine. When somebody answers, complain to them. If enough people call into Lexus Link, maybe Lexus will do something about this problem.
