Hi I have a 2009 is220d , not sure where the pcv is? The car has done over 100 thousand, and the engine will blow a plastic bag up when held around the oil filler top... Heard the pcv is cheap to buy and easy to do? But can't find any photos ect on its location? I could guess ... Lol

Fixed it!!!! Up and running!! I started again removed the erg ect , checked the valve ect, and cleaned the battery terminals, what ever I did , the big lad fired up, and running fine! Thanks to every one who replied .. Cheers! -

Thanks for the reply, yes I used a screw driver!!! 😖 but would this stop it from even trying to start?

I just cleaned the erg valve on a is220d to get one of the bolts out of the connecting pipe, I removed the battery, cleaned the valve, replaced everything , but now it won't start? The dash lights up , it goes through the checks, press the button, click , nothing ...? Any ideas?

it doesnt happen every time it can go for a couple of days? with nothing? and to be honest it does mostly short journeys? DPF? ERG?

hi i have 2009 is220d 100 thousands miles on the clock, when it gets to working temperture it bellows out smoke? then stops? used no water or oil, never does it on start up and only when temp is right, it also ticks over high ? just before? no warning lights come on? its just really embarrassing in town ... with people flashing their lights? i did get a 12 month warranty from the garage i bought it from? apart from this the car drive ok? the large puff of smoke is white? with darker blue before it discharges??
