  2. Ditto. Is your car a premium pack or standard? I have also seen on here that some Irish ls430's have no sunroof. Maybe that is the reason that your's does not have this button?

I think you could be right, wonder if its just a matter of plug and play with a button.I think i seen SE somewhere on the paper work but to be honest I havent a clue what model it is, as you suspected its a IRL spec car.

  3. ............. I was always under the impression ( probably totally wrongly ) that number plates with a Z in were from Ireland !

Not that it matters I guess

    Malc

It is a Northern Irish plate not all plates have Z in them More and more of the recent ones have Z but not all,Six different ones here for each of six counties mine (county) was IL now IG as in AIG BIG no CIG, DIG etc.its at OIG at the moment.Being non age relared they are great with these cars as the look so new even when older.

  4. Well I got one All looked good No Air suspension and all looked in order, Importing from Republic of Ireland Had its moments but all done now thankfully. Very clean inside and out service history all looked to be in order regular service been done (BELTS DONE)107k on the clock and was Good value for money. Now I know its my own fault for not going deeper into the service history as all the fluids were all nice and fresh could do with an oil change but in the whole looked like it had been well taken care of! You know that there is a BUT coming right.!!!

But on ringing the last garage that there was a receipt for, I was told that while they serviced it they never done the Timing belt (independent garage) since about 80k Reading up I assumed it was done around 90k as recommended. Nope. Not been done.

So my value for money starting to drop a bit now, Now I reckon taking the TB into consideration it still a cheap car but its a expense I hadn't wanted .Plus my Mechanic going to have heart failure when he sees the job in store for him.More to follow.....

  5. And this is why there is bargains in Ireland! plus the euro is just worth 74p at the moment so good exchange rates.just £55 reg fee to bring it in but there is a load of forms to fill, and you have to contact HMRC first to fill in a NOVA.I had trouble getting insurance too on the VIN number but if you contact the Beareau of insurers they will give you contact details of who will.
