  1. Finally found it. If somebody is interested: http://www.hotkey.net.au/~cheets/ [TYPO]
  2. Last night I took my car for just a drive. When I started it, there was a memo on the EMV, great! Didn't understand what it said, but it made me think about what happened on 21st of july. It's my fathers birthday. Immediately called him, to hear that the date of my car is wrong... It's a day ahead. I do have one of those english translations of the japanese EMV handbook (have the original Japanese as well LOL), but it doesn't explain how to set the date. I pressed most of the buttons, but nothing made sense. Does anybody have an idea how to change this? By the way, the ECT button in my car isn't lit. Is that normal or is the light gone?

    Charge

I finally got it. I can say I am the proud owner of a green 1994 GT-L. It drives superb, got all the options and everything works. Really happy. There´s just one little thing that bothers me... When I picked up the car it had been in the shop for a couple of days. They put in an alarm system, changed the cambelt and gave it a full service. When I wanted to leave, the battery was flat. Jump started it and it worked fine. I drove it home, what took about an hour. Afterwards I only drove little distances with it, untill yesterday when I drove it for about 3 hours. It starts fine, but if the key is in acc it tells me CHARGE. Somebody told me that if the engine only runs idle, the alternator doesn´t create enough power to charge the battery, if you want to charge it you have to drive. So after my trip yesterday I hoped the fault was gone. Unfortunately, it isn´t. Is this normal? I can´t find the age of the battery, but it looks quit new to me. Can somebody tell me anything about this? Or should i just buy a new battery? (must be pretty expensive...)
  4. I'm still looking for a soarer. Found some nice models, but they come with wind deflectors. They probably work fine, but I think they're really ugly. Does someone know if you can remove them without exposing some kind of holes or anything?
  5. I live in the center of Bishops Stortford, so it can't be more than a 5 minute drive i guess. Next tuesday i'm off, so that sounds like a good idea (if they don't change me in the mean time). Please send your adress to my e-mail and the time i should come by. Looking forward to meet you.
  6. Dear Carl, Thanks for your post. If it is possible I would really like to have a look at your car. Maybe you can sort out this add for the car I saw as well and answer some more questions i have about the soarers. I live very close to Stansted Airport, Bishops Stortford, so looking at your location your probably not that far away from me. I work at the airport as well, so i do have strange working times. But I hope we can find some time. Looking forward to it. Thanks
  7. About 2 years ago, I moved from Holland to the UK, where I first saw a Soarer. Clearly this model has never been sold in Holland, and nobody (I think) took the effort to import one. Since I saw this soarer in the little village I live, I am really interested in buying one. I gathered quiet some information from the internet, just one question remains open: Why are they so cheap? I have to tell I never drove one myself, but if I look at them and read all the articles on the internet, this must be a fantastic car. What else could somebody wish for? So looking around, I found a model a 93 4.0 model, with everything you could want including the EMV, leather interior and low milage. The only thing keeping me from having a look at it is that it is about 200 mls away from here. Could anything be wrong with this car? Hope you can help a (wannabee) enthousiast!
