My first post to the forum after recently purchasing my '05 GS300 at the weekend. I only bought it as a motorway bus for work but I'm quite smitten with the old girl. It is clear that I cannot play movies, and I did not expect it to, however I would very much like to as to avoid talking to my wife and son on long journeys so would like to set it up to play media. So my question is; (1) Did Lexus ever offer DVD media player on later years of the 05 onwards GS300 by means of a software update? (2) Can anybody recommend a company which offers the loom and codec? (I've seen Americans running Android phones and video games so I'm assuming someone has attempted this). (3) Alternatively, I'm happy to go simpler and just have a A/V line directly to screen overwriting the inputs, even if it is a bit crude. Anyone aware of someone who has managed this? I've seen some of the android hacks but in addition but forking out £300 for a fancy loom and gubbins seems a little excessive as it's an old car. Cheers, Gareth
