  1. Are you for real? Look at how bulky the OEM spoiler looks! Way, way too after-market, in my opinion, and there's no contrast, which makes the flaws in design rather too obvious, in my opinion. That said, it is a question of opinion! And yes, I'm a big fan of carbon fibre- have been for over 10 years!
  2. That's the thing though- the boot on the car isn't straight, so a spoiler that would cover the whole area would look very strange- this is the reason why the spoilers for the IS cover the exact area this one covers.
  3. Sure, I'm not trying to convince you otherwise- just expressing what I think, same as you are! The no roof part is definitely on my purchase list!
  4. I see your point. Personally, I don't like spoilers that are the same colour as the car- they are barely noticeable. Besides, carbon looks great on white cars, in my opinion!
  5. It won't look very big, but that's kind of the point, in my opinion- bulky stuff never looks great. When it comes to stealing, I don't think that they will bother- after all, central London is full of cameras and this isn't some amazing Mansory accessory. Besides, many other cars around here have various accessories installed.
  6. Update: Here is how the spoiler looks. I haven't fitted it yet, but it is aligned now. What do you guys think about it now that you've seen it?
  7. Thanks! I'll post the pictures of the spoiler fitted tomorrow. Looks great, in my opinion!
  8. The whine of the CVT really does ***** me off big time. I love nice sounding cars, which is the reason the IS annoys me sometimes, but it has its advantages too. The 250 is amazing if you change the exhaust, but the tax on that thing is huge as compared to the 300h. I'm thinking of adding a black front lip too, but they're not that easy to find, in my opinion. Totally agree with you about the indicators! Not much can be done though...
  9. Some people dislike that sort of stuff, but I absolutely love it!
  10. That's what I think too! It makes the car look even more interesting, especially at night!
  11. Yeah, I see your point, but the "cheaping it out" thing is a stereotype, in my opinion- I like such logos, so I decided to install it. Besides, when the car is kept in a good condition, I think these logo lights make it more interesting.
  12. I think it looks rather cool, especially in the UK, where it is pretty rare!
  13. Hi everyone! I've decided to change a few things in my car. Started with a black roof and ordering a spoiler and I've now decided to change the lights in the door, so that the Lexus logo would "fall" on the pavement/road. Now, unfortunately, the quality of the lamp is not great, since the logo is asymmetrical! This is the procedure: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
  14. Oh, ok. Yeah, it does cost a lot less. I doubt it too, but you never know- after all, it isn't that expensive today.
  15. Not at all- look at the picture I posted again- they may well be the same size, but the shape is different! The same goes for the materials.
  16. Yes, as you said- each to their own, so it's simply a question of preference. And the price of the OEM spoiler is precisely what turned me off- I truly believe that it is not worth the money. The Ebay one has a different design though- look at the edges and the way it doesn't go around the badge- it avoids it fully, which is something I quite like! Sure, I'll post some pics!
  17. that's the main issue- not only does it look quite... cheap, in my opinion, but it also costs five times what I paid for a carbon spoiler that will look much better. Besides, the OEM spoiler is too bulky, IMHO.
  18. I went to Polimax (in London, next to Westfield). It cost me £145, but you have to pay about £10 extra if you want the "shark fin" done as well.
  19. Thanks for the link! Personally, I'm not a big fan of this design, because it doesn't exactly look like the spoiler was designed for this car- it looks strange from the side. But I agree that sometimes a white spoiler looks much better!
  20. What does the OEM spoiler look like? I know what you mean, but I think that the carbon spoiler will go well with the black roof, although we'll see. Besides, I want something truly original and unique! Sure thing, I'll post some photos!
  21. Thanks for the positive feedback! It has been wrapped- took me a while to decide between carbon, that will look cleaner (even after rain), or gloss black, but I thought that the black looks nicer. Took the guys ages to get the "shark fin" (antenna) done, but the end result was pleasing.
  22. Indeed! Doesn't have many optional features though... Surprising, to be honest..... But mine will look sportier once the spoiler gets here!
  23. I see your point! But I just got bored of the stock look, so we'll see if this sticks or not
  24. Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum. This is my second IS300h (the first one "went) in a car crash). I've decided to modify it slightly- what do you think? - Got the roof done today. - Ordered a carbon spoiler on Ebay. What do you guys think?
