Ah right, if it's only £59 at Lexus that's better than I thought. No Lexus dealer near me but do have a Toyota main dealer so assume I could take it there.

Hi Guys i am a new Lexus owner having just bought my first '56 plate RX400 h SEL. I think the Aircon could do with a recharge but have noticed that a lot of my local places don't do hybrids. I have just been out and the Aircon took around twenty minutes to get cool. Can anyone in the Brighton/ Woryhing area reccomenda somewhere that can do this. I'd rather steer clear of main dealers and theor over inflated prices but am mindful that the job needs to be done correctly. I'd rather put my money in the tills of a local garage. Hi Guys Can anyone tell me if there is a way to turn off the alarm for the power tail gate for my RX400 when it's opened and shut as it's annoying as hell.

Not done it myself but I've been thinking bout changing all mine to white LED's. Where did you source them and were they all easy to do?

Is this for the same dvd player that I have?

i had already read about trying that but as I don't know anyone with a remote it's not an option.

Well ended up taking the DVD player ( what a pig of a job) stripping it down and cleaning the laser, it is now playing DVDs and have sound coming through my fleabay headphones. Would still like to get my hands on a a remote so if anyone can help me. The DVD player I have is as per the photo below. Thanks.

Hi Guys just wondered if anyone can advise on the correct/ compatible remote control for the did player in the photo as well t had no remote with it. Also ive got the dvd player powered up but it keeps coming up with either no disc or error disc. Does anybody have any words of wisdom for me, I've tried running a dvd lens cleaner through with no joy Cheers Just

Well , the car I initially looked at had the grey interior which unfortunately was showing its age as was the exterior with numerous scrapes n scuffs. I have now bought a black 56 plate which is in great condition and has its full service history. Looking forward to collecting it next weekend

Thanks guys, didn't realise that the American servicing intervals were different 😳 . Can anyone put up the full rx400h servicing schedule? the 100+ service above leads me to believe that the timing belt gets done at 100,00 miles. Can anyone confirm that it's at 100,000 or at 10 years whichever is sooner. This makes a big difference as the car I am looking at is 10 years old on an '06 plate but has only done 88,000 miles.

This is why i'm getting confused. Ive downloaded a copy of the service and maintenance manual and it shows the timing belt being changed at 108 months or 90,000 miles ??? If its at 108 months then I assume the timing belt should have been changed by now on an '06 model?

Hi Guys, I am in the market for my first RX400h. I am going to look at one at the weekend, an '06 plate SE-L on 88,000 miles. My question relates to the servicing schedules as there seems to be some conflicting information. Can anyone confirm if the major timing belt service is at 90,000 or 100,000. If its at 90,000 then I have a bit of a bargaining point with the dealer ( non-franchise). Also what are peoples experiences on costs for the major timing belt service as ive had a quick ring round and am getting prices around the £900 mark for the service, timing belt and water pump replacement. Does this sound about right ? I am in the Brighton area so if anyone has any good local garages for Lexus servicing id be glad to get their details. Cheers Justin.

Hi guys i am looking to buy my first Lexus and am considering a 400h SE-L. I would be buying used and for my budget would probably looking at the 06-08 age range. Can anyone advise on any pitfalls of problems inherent with this model and age and any things I need to look out for and avoid when looking. Thanks Just
