  1. Still chugging along nicely. 533 miles, 52 mpg, which I believe will be just 47 - 48 mpg on a fill up in a few days. I estimate another 30 - 40 miles remaining.
  2. I agree, the V6 is jus so ultra smooth and quiet. My last diesel, a 150 CDTi Vectra, was mega on diesel, I could coax 63 mpg on a run. However, no where near refined as the 250 I have now.
  3. Had a few runs into work, and a run down to Oxford and back Much better fuel figures this time. 435 miles so far, and good mpg,
  4. 464 miles 12.4 gallons 37.5 mpg vette
  5. Hi John, I will be filling up tomorrow. Then it will be a "brim to brim" With my outgoing 150 CDTi Vectra, I could get 63 MPG on runs from Warrington to Poole and Bournemouth, yes its diesel, but I can get some very good consumption figures. Wait until tomorrow evening, I will fill up after work which is 42 miles return. Gently does it. Cruise all the time.
  6. Convertible you say, That sounds nice. vette
  7. Hi all, I have a 57 plate IS250 Is it the same body as say a 57 plate IS200? Is it essentially just the engine different? vette
  8. Hi all, I have decided I will keep this IS 260 for the next 6 years or so. Being the V6, would it be cost effective for me to have an LPG installation? I guess my annual miles to be around 11,000 What size tanks would fit in the boot spare wheel well? Thanks all

  10. Hi all, I am nearing the end of my first full tank, in my V6 IS 250 petrol automatic, where I have driven rather sensible. Certainly not as economical as my previous diesel, but why should it be. Any way, my tank average is sitting at 42,3 mpg. I have driven around 430 miles on this tank, and the needle is down to a smigen below quarter. I guess I have about 80 miles to go, so should end up with about just over 500 miles to the tank Good or bad, ? Need I improve my driving skills even more? Vette
  11. Hi all, reviving an old thread I guess, I have a 2007 IS250. With just 1 smartfob. Any further progress, ideas on another smartfob, without being raped by Lexus for circ 350.00 GBP vette
  12. Hi Mike, Wish they were my gates. Actually, the gates to Warrinton Town Hall. i believe they were originally made for Buckingham Palace, but when they were cast and painted, they were deamed not pretty enough for the Palace. Quite how Warrington got them I dont know. Town Hall was originally Bank Park, owned by some super rich in the middle 1700's
  13. Hi, Thanks all, I will give that guy in Lincoln a call tomorrow. Yes its far, but I can drive a long way on 361.59, which is what my local Lexus quoted me. Thanks
  14. Hi all, When we bought our 2007 Lexus IS250, it came with just 1 key fob. After phoning Lexus, they said a second key fob would cost 361.00 Of course, I feel this is a lot of money. However, I understand that when a Lexus smart key is assigned to a Lexus, it can not afterwards be re-assigned to another Lexus. Is this right? Do I have to buy a new, and un-assigned fob (smart key) ? Apart from Lexus UK, where could I try for a second fob? thanks all Gra
  15. Hello, Thank you all for the welcome. She rides very smooth being the V6, and reasonably quick. We just need to get another fob sorted out, Lexus just quoted me 359.00 Which I feel is excessive, so maybe a hunting on ebay. Graham
  16. Hi all, I am very pleased to say how impressed I am with this New (to me) IS250 is. It is a light blue metallic, not sure the colour Lexus call it. It is 57 reg, and almost immaculate. Very smooth, almost like the car just floats along, no engine noise at all. I will be looking to get a spare fob, as I only got just the one, when I bought it. So I guess a trip to Lexus for a spare, and any deletion of previous unknown keys is needed. Thanks all, Vette
