  1. Hi, Does anyone know what the component service requirements for the CT are apart from the obvious oil & filter etc? I can find this schedule online: Coolant (Flush/replace) 100,000 miles Cabin air filter (Clean) 15,000 miles Brake fluid (Flush/replace) 30,000 miles Spark plugs (Replace) 120,000 miles Air filter (Replace) 30,000 miles Front brake pads and rotors (Measure thickness) 30,000 miles Transmission fluid (Flush/replace) 100k Inverter coolant (Flush/replace) 150,000 miles Cheers.
  2. Hi All, Thanks for the feedback - I wondered about the issues at higher mileages/age, so this great info! It does seem like the bigger hybrid system in the GS causes more issues as they get older, compared to the lower-powered systems in the Prius, etc. which seem to soldier on to 400k miles with few problems, and I'd hazard the system in the 300H similarly more robust.
  3. Hi, The 2006 GS450h is available used for quite low money now - presuming I don't use a Lexus dealer, how much do these cost to run, in terms of normal servicing? Also, are their any known issues affecting these cars at high age/mileage which are expensive (i.e. not just general wear & tear etc.) ? Cheers!
  4. Yes they do seem a seriously good buy, luckily I'm over 50 so the insurance isn't an issue. What's the parts costs like on the consumables do you find - brakes, tyres etc? What sort of fuel consumption do you find you get on a long run BTW (when you're not using all the horses)?!
  5. Hi, I've seen a few dealer GS450H for about £10k, perhaps 50k miles on the clock - I need a car to run to high mileages of 200k plus (do 30k PA) - how reliable are they, and how expensive to run if you don't use Lexus dealer servicing - ie how many bits fall off or not!
