  1. Thanks for that Steve. I am sure that they were options at the time of purchase but will probably have to get some form of document from Lexus to back it up.
  2. I am trying to but a 2002 GS300 to take to Spain and the car I like has 17" wheels. They are lexus wheels. The specification for the car says 16" wheels. Does anyone know if 17"rims was an option from Lexus because the Spanish ITV (MOT) will fail on any non-standard part. If I can show that they were original fitment it might be OK Thanks
  3. Timing belt question I am looking at a 2001 GS300 with full service history and 100,000 miles. There is no record of the timing belt being changed. I read somewhere recently that the interval for changing the belt on a gs300 was 65,000 miles and on a GS430 it is 100,000 but in the service book it states that the interval for both the 300 and 430 is 100,000. Anyone know which is correct. I think I would get it done anyway so any idea on an average price? The car is going to live in Spain and I have sourced some LHD headlights for around £350.00 a pair. That seems pretty good to me but I have never had LED lights before. How do they compare with halogen? Thanks Dave
  4. I have been offered a 2002 LS430 with full service history and 102,000 miles. The timing belt has not been changed and must be due. Any idea how much this is likely to cost and could a competent local garage undertake it. I live in rural France and Lexus dealers are like hen's teeth around here Thanks
  5. Hi I am in the process of buying a 2002 lexus 430 as my retirement car and want to take it to Spain where it will be re-registered on Spanish plates. I understand that instead of the headlamp dipping to the left they actually flatten downward and so will not need to be converted to a right hand dip. Is this the case? It would be nice to be reassure by someone who has actually done it and knows. Thanks Dave
