Hi guys -new member here
I have a slight (well i hope slight) problem with loosing water
I top up my expansion tank to the correct level - drive the car and have heat until the fans kick in and the water spills out from the overflow pipe and i lose all the heat.
I have checked the oil and there is no creamy build up on the filler cap or the dipstick, nor does there appear to be any oil deposits in the water that flows out the expansion tank.
Therefore I am wondering, and hoping, that my thermostat has gone
Is it any easy job to replace the said thermostat and of low cost to see if this is indeed the issue
I drive a 2007 220is
