  1. Lexus recall.

My car went in on Thursday and the fuel tank vent tube assembly was replaced although there was no issues with the original one. Lexus Liverpool also carried out a vehicle safety inspection and issued me with a report. They also to my surprise topped up the fuel tank to half full (less than quarter full when I took the car in). ALL IN ALL excellent five star service and all free of charge.

  2. Rang Lexus Liverpool to book my car in next week now that the fuel level is getting to quarter tank. They had no knowledge of the recall ......... Help!!!!

Wonder if this has any connection to when I put fuel in, the pump keeps cutting out. I have to bring the nozzle of hand gun out to stop it cutting out?? Could it be that the tank is not venting as it should?? Just a thought.

  3.

This was from Julncamp54 and it worked the seat now retracts when I turn off ignition to get out of car.   AMAZING :

Had a similar problem with the drivers seat not doing what I thought it should do. The steering wheel would tilt but the seat remained in wrong position or wouldn’t move.

this is a cure. Hybrid system on, in park ,  move seat fully forward and hold for 10 secs move seat full back hold for ten secs. Do same for  seat back,

now set  the seat position u want  and then press set and 1 with 3 secs.

shut hybrid system down , get out of car and lock it, wait two minutes then get into the car, power up then press seat position  1

seat should now move to correct position.

Note if you move seat from set position the seat will auto remember it’s last position

    hope that helps

  4. I have the drivers seat set so it fully retracts when ignition turned off in the settings menu to make it easier to exit car but recently it is not moving when ignition is turned off. Seat is fully functional when using adjustment buttons on side of seat. The pre-sets on the door 1,2 & 3 all work. The steering wheel retracts ok. Anyone had this problem or know what's causing this. My car model is 2014 Lexus GS300h.

I see in the owners manual there are several different fuses for the seat, is it possible one could have blown?

  5. Hi, can anyone help! my drivers seat does not now  auto retract when I turn off ignition. All seat movements work from the adjustment buttons on the side of the seat, also works from the buttons on the door (memory positions).

Was wondering if it could be a fuse, looking in manual there are several different fuses for the seat.

Anyone had this problem? My model is 2014 GS300h.

  6. I own a Lexus GS300H 2014. I reset the maintenance due warning by making sure odometer was in the trip A position then  holding down the ODO button whilst depressing the engine start twice without depressing the brake pedal and waiting for the flashing zero's to stop.

I now have a warning coming up on the dash saying   'resetting of maintenance data incomplete'.  Does anyone know how I can get rid of this message?

I have used an OBD2 tester to check if any faults but saying No faults detected.

    Completely baffled............

  8. Thank you all your comments which have been really helpful and after further research, I am thinking that to get it ceramic coated professionally is expensive after seeing that a diy kit can be bought for around £100, whether they are the same quality I am not so sure.

Therefore for the moment I am going to get a good quality polish/wax until later in the year, when I will see whats the latest on the market.

So its out with the Bilt Hamber double speed carnauba wax for now, which does give off a reasonable shine.
