Had a hot lap around Bruntingthorpe in a Viper GTS once, scared the living daylights out of me. Not sure if that was the car or the driver (he later ran out of talent and went down an embankment with another passenger on board!) but it was it was an awesome thing! Good choice!

Just a follow up on this, I didn't go to see it as when I rang the dealer he said they didn't know anything about it's history they had just bought it from an auction, I know it is cheap but I'd rather spend a bit more and avoid a pup.
So I'm still looking for a nice example, the only colour I wouldn't want is black or white.
If anyone is thinking of selling let me know.
Hi, I’m looking to sell soon. Here’s the ad.
Cheers, Ben

This a great read about the isf engine.

Just realised my actual car is on this site!

I think it depends on how much you value the experience of owning something like that. I’m trying to get as many V8’s under my belt as I can before the world stops producing these masterpieces of engineering. If you’re worried about running costs and tax then maybe it’s not for you. I think more often than not, owning performance cars comes from the heart rather than the mind. You only live once, so if you can, do it! We may all be driving milk floats within the next 20 years!

Hi all,
After a lot of thinking and an initial bit of interest I’ve decided it’s time to sell. I’ve posted an ad in the for sale section if anyone is genuinely interested let me know.

Hi all,
I am leaving my company car scheme to get an allowance instead as the mileage I now do is quite low.
I have been looking at ISF's on the usual places, PH, AT & Ebay and currently none are attracting me - the lower mileage ones are outside my price range and the earlier models to me seem over priced.
Realistically I am looking to spend 15-18k as I would like to keep some money aside for inevitable jobs that will need doing.
I was just curious if anyone here is looking to sell or could point me in the direction of some other cars up for sale (which aren't listed on the above sites)?
Thanks,
Nick

Was showing this to a few folks at work earlier today so thought I’d share it. Dare say most of you have seen it at some point anyway!
Happy new year all!

Bit of promo for the ISF!

I went for Lunex D4S 6000k, it’s a whiter light than the original bulbs but not blue. A lot cheaper than some alternatives but seem very good so far!

Cars in the Lexus Full 100 service next week. Anyone know exactly what is included for the IS-F? Lexus website is a bit woolly.

I had one of the best drives home from work I’ve ever had this week playing for a good 10 miles with an M4. I had no issues keeping up in my 2008 ISF which surprised me a little and probably surprised him more! It’s made me love the F just that little bit more. I love the M cars (had one) and I think I expected it to leave me for dead. Very pleased it didn’t!

Won’t solve your problem now but maybe worth investing in a protective film over the front once you’ve painted it?
I hate stone chips and the way we repair roads with gravel in the UK really gets on my t*ts!

Looking good, I’m a sound clip away from buying one of these! 😉

A different type of F car but a friend of mine used to have a Ferrari 458 with a Tubi Style exhaust. If ever there was a perfect engine note that must have been it.
A colleague also had a SuperSprint fitted to a Maserati GranTurismo. That sounded stunning as well although it always sounded like it was going faster than it actually was.
It's a shame that Milltek don't make exhausts for the F cars as they generally offer resonated and non-resonated exhausts depending on customer needs. I have never heard a bad one. I used to have a full resonated Milltek on my old 350z and it sounded gorgeous but you couldn't really hear it from inside the car :-( My old boss has a non resonated Milltek fitted to his Audi S5 and it sounds like a V8 should :-)
I also believe that Milltek work out the perfect back pressure for the exhausts before working on the sound so there is some science behind it.
I did a fair amount of research before choosing the German Fox Exhaust route and it's a bit different. I will post some vids/clips when my German Jungen Rennfahrer exhaust arrives and gets fitted :-)
All comes down to personal preference but I would take any exhaust note over a Tesla's :-)
Very interested to see what you think of the Fox exhaust. I’ve been looking at this option myself but can find very little info/vids. Is it the back box you have? E.g. this https://www.dcperformance.co.uk/cheap/852179/lexus/fox-exhaust-backboxes/le011044-292.html

I don't think there were mesh alloys ever available for sale (because realistically how many cars were sold post ~2012). However, there was one car written-off and sold as parts - so I guess alloys were available.
That was steal... even £672 is... but I reckon they would sell them even cheaper, hence they have enabled "offer" - I guess reasonable to say 4x valves + 4x caps are missing, so any offer in range of £550-600 can be acceptable.
I made a reasonable offer initially but that got declined so there’s probably not much in it. Obviously got to pay to get tires swapped plus new valves but still a massive bargain 😀 I would say it’s one of those lucky eBay moments where you catch it before anyone else does 😉

you don't mean full set of IS-F wheels for £480?
Yes, full set refurbished, couldn’t believe the price so snapped them up! Sitting in the garage now ready to be swapped over for summer 😀

"Famous" ISF for sale
in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Posted
This was my car until Feb last year. I sold it to Lexus Swindon, I believe the dealership principle was driving it. It’s a fantastic car, don’t believe what you hear about press cars, it wore its miles extremely well and wanted for nothing. Total bargain at that price, lots of car for the money. It’s about as famous as they get as it’s the car Clarkson drove on Top Gear!
