I thought about that - but it's both sides. Is that very likely?

I had new pads all round on my IS200 the other week. Now I've noticed that about half of the braking surfaces on the front discs are rusty. The rust is in a ring on the inside of the braking surface while the outer edge is polished as usual. The brakes also don't seem to be stopping me as quickly as they should. Is there more than one pad that would fit the IS200 caliper (and I've got the wrong ones,) or does anyone have another explaination for this? Thanks Lardo
