Fargo is right about the clock. The spread is very difficult to get to work. It took me about 2 years and some help to figure that thing out. Unfortunately, work has been very busy for a while and I just haven't had the time to devote to getting this kit going. Hopefully by summer I should have a bit more time for this. :(

eBay, just emailed me today and took led_auto_design's kit OFF eBay. He is now a new member of the "Prohibited, Questionable & Infringing Items ". Thanks for the support and help finding this scam artist.

Ive got my kit this morning came quicky any way i also got a pair of xenon headlamp leds theyre in now just waitin till dark to see them. my kit has insructions also with two photo`s. It also says to carefully sand the led surface before puttin them in this helps spread the light emmited avoilding brighter patch`s ill get mine done tonight cant wait :P Ill post some pictures up too :winky: wish me luck :winky:

Just an FYI, sanding the front of an LED will create a lot more heat and decrease the life of the LED dramatically. I guess it only cost $20 though, so....

Wxman, I'm sure that everyone reading this post can see your point, but surely your argument is with EBay, not LOC.

Paul (Fargo) has given negative feedback, which is a start. The goods were not as advertised.

I think that where Led_Auto_Design has become confused is the use of corporate images on EBay (e.g. Nokia phones Electrical goods etc.) It is common practice to use these 'stock' images to sell a product. The difference is he is NOT selling one of your products so using your pics is wrong. You need to take this up with EBay.

I'm sure there are many like me who are watching this thread with great interest. If your product is good enough, then let it prove itself.

we have terms and conditions on these boards - a major one is to do with being polite.

I can see you have issues with Andi - but if you cannot resolve them in a manner that stays with the T&C's of the boards, then you may be removed.

I am just curious too. On IS300.net, they would have banned this guy. I can prove to you that he is using stolen pictures of my dash to market his product. He has yet to address this issue and keeps blowing off the people asking this question. I am sorry if you cannot understand my anger.

There are only two people in the world that have done this to perfection so far that I know of. It is me and my partner. That is a long time and speaks to the difficulty of the project. We even had to pay a vendor in China a tooling fee to make some of these parts because they are specifically made for this application. Please understand that my frusteration. I have taken this dash apart so many times that I cannot even come close to counting. I see LED refuse to respond to allegations and brush me off like I am not talking.

I would like to ask you a question too if you don't mind... Why would you allow someone who clearly stole pictures from me to stay on here marketing his product? There are a lot of honest guys on here that are being ripped off hoping for a product that will produce the results in that picture of my dash, and getting something vastly different. To me, that is the injustice.

Fargo it seems that the blotches are caused by the two smaller led area`s as you havent fully completed the guidelines and lightly key`d the surface of the miniture leds with glass sandpaper thus diffusing the light evenly. Those leds are nearly 10,000 mcd and un diffused thyre bound to create a bright patch.

now to follow i think i should comment here to be fair--

Wxman + Fargo i think you guys are taking this a little too far guys i joined here a few days ago for a browse after purchasing my new lex and found you guys discussing my recently launched auction - hey no probs!!! B)

Then fargo purchases one of my kits to do a " review" on it and what seems intentionally "pull it to pieces" because you two unknown to me have been planning on selling an led dash kit yourselves for the IS200 / 300 to members.

Now im a pretty easy going guy and not a great deal bothers me so i didnt comment much, but i really did expect a more mature reception on a site like this with co lexus owners, were all proud of our modifications etc and i know we have our little secrets etc but guys ive been retailing led dash kits for other marques for two years now IT`S NOTHING NEW AND YOU AND ME ARE NOT THER FIRST TO DO IT!.

Im not on here for a hard sell and sorry if you may feel me a threat for your two year led conversion adventure, but buying a kit from me, leaving me negative feedback on my 99% positive ebay account :tsktsk: and then blurting off about how crap my kits are is taking things too far.

I cannot comment on what you two produce becuse i havent seen it but i can confirm everything sell is designed to be easy to fit plug in no soldering etc with step by step instructions and pictures. I dont sell kits which involve butchering the dash and glueing leds into it alongside re-soldering a £££ lexus stereo and £££ aircon unit as i felt it could all end in tears.

Now i have been taking some pictures and if anyone would be kind enough to let me email them and post them up for me it would be appreciated, as i cants seem to get them in the gallery ;)

You sell your kit with someone else's picture, then when someone installs it and claims it doesn't look like the picture you cry like a little girl. Well, hmm that is because the pictures aren't even of your kit! If you want to respond to something, respond to this - WHY ARE YOU STEALING MY PICTURES!

LED, you still haven't answered why you stole the pics out of my album and played them off as your own. You still have not taken my pictures out of your eBay advertisement. Why won't you answer the questions? Because you are a thief. eBay will ban you, if you ever enter IS300.net I guarantee you will be banned, and hopefully Fargo will ban you. Seriously, if you admit what you have done and take my pictures off your eBay add then I will drop the matter.

If you're not sure about the colour yet, there are also multi-colour leds available, i don't know exactly how they are controlled, but there should be a way to have all your leds in exactly the colour you want, all you need after all is just red, green and blue :) (And in a couple of months Alpine is coming out with the D300 which seems REALLY awesome! Touch screen with force feedback Doesn't even seem all that expensive for the prices I've found :P

And btw wxman I mean you're getting over incredibly agressive over those pictures, simple way would be just to put some text in one of the corners or something ;)

With the internet, all you have is pictures to show the product. Over at .net in the US everyone understands the work I have put into this and they are as ****** as me.

Fellas, i dont no all the facts so maybe i am talking out of turn, but i do think were being a bit harsh on LED DESIGNS, the guy comes across has being genuine and helpful enough. WYXSMAN i fully appreciate you feel ripped off but i really dont think this would have been done intentionally to upset you, are your pictures copyrighted. In all honesty if you check out Ebay you will find that that their is a lot of this picture stealing going on, i dont personally own a digital camera and in all honesty i am guilty of doing this myself on occasions and in turn it has been done to me. I realize this is your personal baby and i can understand why you are so upset, but come on guys bury the hatchet.

Individuals have ownership to the video and pictures that they shoot. The only people that can use it are media outlets that use it only in a news story and only if it is during a breaking news situation. I am a stormchaser and I have shot some of the most famous tornado video in the world. If you are a viewer of the BBC or if you have seen the BBC programme Tornado, then you have no doubt seen my video. What LED is doing is not only dishonest but it is theft. To be truthful, how can you trust anything he sells if he is marketing his product with stolen pictures. If his kit was as good as he claims, then why in the world would he market his product with my pictures? He must have searched, found my pictures, then decided he could make some quick cash off unsuspecting customers.

It is actually possible to change your aftermarket headunit to any color you want. Actually I changed the lights in my boost controller and Apexi guage controller to blue as well. That is something that we should be able to do for you as well. If you want pics, I pm you with them.

It's the A/C section that gives so many a headache. Specifically the clock section that is so difficult. To get a smooth spread there requires some custom work.

Please understand that this guy was selling his products on eBay using my pictures. I have put an enormous amount of time into this and that was just a complete slap in the face. If the situation was reversed, I think you might feel as cheated as I do.

Nice to see you here Wxman, I wanted to buy your kit on .net one year ago but you finally cancel the group buy . Hope this time will be the right one :)

There have been advances in every aspect of the kit. There were some concerns that I had and I just didn't want to sell something that I felt like was less than perfect. The kit has been perfected in every way and we are already ordering a number of kits. Fargo will be the guy for the UK. He will be the contact point to buy the kit from and the installer for the difficult parts that people don't want to do themselves. Pricing should be finalized this coming week. :) Just an FYI, the radio adds about $50 to the kit, but there are over 40 leds in it!

We are finalizing that right now. More this coming work week.

The solution is done, so changing to other colors is not difficult. I am confident we could do red, green, white, yellow, etc.

Thanks guys. I never even knew about this site until recently. Fargo and I are chatting about co-releasing a kit. So you guys know, this project has been a 2 year project for me. There are extreme issues with changing parts of this dash. Specifically the stock clock area is SOOOOO difficult. After tearing these things apart more times than I like to admit, there is a perfect solution. The parts are a few weeks out, but the kit will be available soon. Keep checking with Fargo for details. :)

Just so you guys know, led_auto_design is a SCAM ARTIST!!!! He stole his pictures out of my album and obviously has no proof he can ever do this!!! If he was legit, then why wouldn't he take his own pictures!
