What's mpg like compared to the ls400

One thing I loved about my friends ls400 was the engine v8 sound. He had the exhaust adjusted so I think it sounded better than say a stock vehicle. is the 430 a v8 engine?

Hi all I'm Gaz 34 from leicester firstly I should admit, I don't actually own a Lexus. However, since takin a drive in my friends 1997 ls400 I was hooked and iv given myself myself a plan to own a great example within the next 2-3 years. So, I'm basically here to talk about the cars, learn about the cars, educate myself and narrow my search field down so I know exactly what I'd be buying once I come round to purchasing. So what I know so far is, I personally like the mk2 ls400 iv been told the 1iuze engine is the one to look for? I will probably have the car as a daily so thinking of lpg converted. i may also need to car to tow a caravan for the family holidays thats about it for now. I'd love to hear what everyone thinks and advises. many thanks gaz
