  1. Had the same problem with the spare key that came with my RX300.

Bought this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-IS200-GS300-LS400-RX300-3-Button-Remote-Key-Shell-Case-Short-Blade/401138099983?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648. had the blade cut at a local shop, fitted a new Battery to the old fob and swapped it over, worked perfectly,

    £15 total,and i have a spare Battery

The guy in the shop did say to be careful of the cheap ones from China, as the blades tend to be too thin or even hollow, making it impossible to cut, ;-)

  2. Disaster. It's all gone wrong!

Well not quite, but i finally found a "fault"  all the windows work on each door individual window button but if using the drivers door controls only the drivers window goes up/down until i pressed the two rear buttons simultaneously and now the drivers panel operates both rear windows as i would expect but it still wont power the passenger front window from the drivers door panel. it could be me just been a bit thick and missing the obvious but unless someone can point out what i'm not doing right i'm afraid it's going up for sale !

Not really I still love it ;-)

Hello and Welcome to the forum!

If you have any intentions of completing any maintenance, modification or just general enthusiast type jobs on the Lexus now seems like the ideal time to start a thread on the Brand New build thread section to share you ideals and photos and hopefully get a few ideas and tips along the way.

    |I would be more than happy to, but as of yet i still cant find fault with it, even the wife's impressed:rolleyes:

Welcome to the RX club. Once bitten, forever smitten...

I had a number of reservations when I bought my RX450h but it's proved to be the best car we've ever owned.

    Enjoy

    Thanks for the welcome

If i'm honest i had the same reservations, being an electrician for 35yrs, Iv'e become a bit of a luddite as far as vehicles and electrics are concerned and the last time i owned a petrol  car the latest technological advancement in that department was sparkrite bringing out the contactless electronic ignition box ! odd considering i work on big gas engine management systems on generators all day.

  7. Apologies for the appalling pic, But after a busy day rebuilding the 110 Defender,  we finally got to it up late this afternoon, two new front tires and a full MOT and straight to the garage to fill it up, very impressive machine and two very happy new owners and nowhere near as drastic on petrol as i expected, but i did drive it like a girl ;-) Took great delight in emptying everything out of the Range Rover, most of which where tools in case of emergency repairs which are now back in the garage such is my confidence in the reliability I have read so much about on the forum.

I think I'm going to enjoy this beast, VERY MUCH !

  8. Hope you don't mind  if i sit here quietly in the corner and have a read up on exactly what it is iv'e just bought ? from what iv'e read up to now it "think" it seems a good choice compared to some of the other stuff i looked at, Merc ML BMW etc, and cant be any worse than the Range Rover P38 it replaces, can it ? after a test drive today the RX 300R should ready to collect later in the week.

Any reassurance will be much appreciated ;-)
