  1. thanks for that. we will give it a go sometime in the future. very helpful forums/site
  2. hi madasahatter, That is the video I see before I posted. I read all the comments on the video after reading your post about not having to remove the lens, thankfully. Am still researching it now. Do you have a recommendation of where to purchase a new ballast?
  3. Hi all, In my first Lexus that I bought off a friend. Been excellent since I've had it, friend looked after when he had and I have done the same. Don't do many miles >2000pa. I noticed last weekend that the N/S dipped headlight was not working so today I had another friend who owns his own garage change the bulb for me. Didn't work, he mentioned something about a capacitor might need to be done as well. Also the cluster has some condensation inside it. It did have a small, what I assume, was chip damage on it but the previous owner fixed it and sealed it up. Anyway, took the car round to the previous owners so we could have another look at it. We replaced the new bulb with the one I though was blown and it still didn't work as expected. We then swapped the bulbs around with the working O/S bulb and behold the one we thought was blown isn't. There is something else wrong. Had to stop there due to the weather. When the lights are on the O/S emits a buzzing sound (the working headlight) and the N/S doesn't. Found this forum and spent the last few hours looking through as well as the general internet and another forum (an American one I think). Found some info about something called a ballast that could of burnt out and needs replacing but that is something I wouldn't want to attempt from watching videos. But also found a thread on here about the fact each dipped light has its own fuse.....great I'll check them. Nope they are both ok. So any knowledgeable people have any idea as to what else it could be. Also some recommendations of somewhere I can get a new cluster should that be required as I assume that main dealer prices will be insane. I did phone the Canterbury branch (that did the airbag recall) but the service department was closed and advised to call back Monday. Many thanks (apologies if this has been answered before)
