  1. To update, the vsc light was the dpf, cleaning the ports had let some crap fall intot he cylinders that must have restricted the dpf, I did regen, then reset with the battery off and it's sorted now. Air con will not work at all, and I have followed procedure when reconnecting the battery to give it all chance to re set. The light comes on but the idle doesn't change, I can't hear anything different and it just blows air temp. Heater does work
  2. Thanks Steve, I only changed the air filter on the maf side, so don't think it will be that, but I've ordered a can of cleaner. I think it must be the throttle body. I'm confident I didn't leave anything off, inside scrape the cardon off the butterfly, maybe could have moved it and upset the system?
  3. Or it could be the throttle body? I leaned that a d he ked the butterfly was seized, could that have upset the throttle body?
  4. Thanks, I have followed the guide a d sorted the windows. I've read that the vsc can be triggered by he MAF, which would make sense seeing as I've had it all out. Might it need extra cleaning? There were no lights before I shovelled out all the coke.
  5. Hi all I'm new to the forum, but the missus has had a lexus for a while now. I've just got an 220d as a temporary ride (I know I know) it had the normal issue of terrible low down running, so today I have taken off and cleaned the inlet manifold and egr which were rammed as expected. On the test drive, the cleaning has done its job, but after 5 minutes driving the vsc and check engine light came on. The air con has stopped working and only the drivers window works from the drivers door panel. Could this all be down to the car needing g reset after having the battery out? Or have I knocked something? The engine idle rate does not change when the ac is switched on, which it did yesterday. Tia Adam
