  1. I see.. I thought you could only extend it before the original warranty expired. Will definately extend. Its good to have that peace of mind!
  2. Yes I was abit shocked when he said 60. Didnt argue with him at all. Can I just ask, I am out of warranty right now. Can I still extend it or is it too late for me to do so?
  3. I managed to get it for 115 and fitted for 60. Didnt realise how much of a rip off dealers are. This was my first major issue and hopefully last until I sell this car. Thanks for the help and advice everyone and for that ebay link. I would have ended up buying one from the dealer for 540.
  4. Haha, I guess thats my only option. Im taking my car in for servicing on thursday. I'll see what they say. Will keep you posted. Thanks alot!
  5. Do you know if Lexus will resolve an issue after the expiry of the warranty if the car was bought and maintained by the dealer. I have heard that in some cases other brands may cover for a further 6 months after the 3 yeras warranty has come to an end.
  6. Hi Roy, thanks for the reply. I was considering taking out the extended warranty. Will the wheel bearing be covered under this and if it will be, would they not turn around and say it was a pre existing fault and would not cover it? Thanks
  7. Hi, I wonder if someone can help. I have a 67 plate is300h with 60k miles. My front wheel bearing is gone. Is this a premature wear and tear or is it in line with what the mileage and of the car? Lexus have quoted £540 just for the part. Also does anyone know if there are any other alternatives or is lexus the only supplier? Will a pre facelift model wheel bearing fit? I hope I made some sense as I am clueless when it comes to cars. Thanks
  8. As for leg room in the back, should be fine. I have been driving a prius for a while now and no one has ever complained. I have also been a passenger in the back of a lexus and although not the most spaceous, I wasnt squeezed in. My main concern is just the stiffness of the ride which from what everyone in here is saying, it wouldnt be ideal for a taxi :-(
  9. You're right about German cars. I do about 1000 miles a week and its quite shocking the number of mercs I see broken down on the side of the roads waiting for recovery. In my job, the most important thing is reliability. I own a prius at the moment and apart from the usual service, i have had no issues. It has 170000 on the clock and the thing just wont die! Thanks for the advice. I have to make a decision now between a is300h premier on a 16 plate or the new facelift advance model 2017 for the same price
  10. Thank you for your replies.. what about the premier? I realise it also comes with 18" but without the stiff suspensions.. would the ride quality be better?
  11. Hi everyone, my name is Hamza and I am new to Lexus. I hope someone can help me decide. I have decided that it is a Lexus is300h I am going to buy, but just cant decide on the spec. I am totally in love with the F sport and everything that comes with it.. the lfa style dial.. wheels.. oh and the rose leather interior! Now the big dilemma for me is that I work as a taxi driver. How comfortable would the sports suspension be and the low profile tyres for passengers sitting in the back? As everyone knows, we have been blessed in this country with a fair amount of potholes. So is it bareable or would they want to jump out as quickly as they jumped in. Now common sense would say and still keeps telling me to get an executive/advance but I am just in love with the f sport! I hope someone can give me the slightest hint of hope!
