If you just want little bit more aggressive, then the easiest way would be to simply use F-Sport Grille, which is same design as newer models (mesh), just not as big.

    Lexus IS250 IS350 (2011-2013) OEM F-Sport FRONT UPPER RADIATOR GRILL 53112-53902 | eBay

If you want to go step further, but without fully custom making entire front end, then very late 2011-2012 models had little bit more aggressive front bumper.

    vs. standard

Then add lip at the bottom

    FRONT SPLITTER V.1 Lexus IS Mk2 Gloss Black | Our Offer \ Lexus \ IS \ Mk2 Lexus \ IS \ Mk2 | Maxton Design

Obviously it won't be like mk3 "aggressive", but it won't cost like £1000+ to make. Because even if you make everything custom - be expected to pay ~£300 just for original grille alone.

I’ve got a lip on already, might give the fsport grill a go. The newer 2011-2012 bumper does look slightly better

Not sure if the IS is similar but on my LS there are drain holes next to the wiper arm spindles. If these get clogged the water collects then overflows into the air intakes.

Definitely sounds like what’s happened to me!

Mir absolutely chucked it down while I was at work and flooded everywhere, so there would have been a lot of water hitting my car so would explain it

From what I've read, the blocked AC drain issue only causes water behind the front seat footwell and not under the dash. You mentioned that water is trickling under the dashboard so I'm thinking it may not be the blocked AC drain issue.

But then you mention that the water is clear. If it's clear and not sticky and sweet smelling then it's unlikely to he coolant. There isn't really any other water in the car other than the AC water. Unless your car has clear water filled up instead of pink coolant. No chance of it being rain leaking in somehow? But you mentioned that you've had ac on cold so in which case I doubt it's been raining lol.

My coolant is definitely pink, the water is totally clear and not sticky or anything.

Theres like a big long square ish plastic tube under the dash with water running through it and it’s coming from that.

Theres slight damp under the drivers seat.

It was raining really bad yesterday but I don’t think it was that

  4. Driving home from work and I could here water trickling, got home and could see water in the passenger footwell mat.

pulled everything back and I can see water dripping in two separate areas from the heater matrix under the dash

lexus had this for a recall a few months back for the airbag, could they of damaged it?

The higher I have the fans on the more it drips

    Whats my options?

    Well each to his own!

It’s worth bearing in mind that auto bulbs are among the most widely counterfeited of all car parts.  Personally I would be extremely dubious that a £10 Xenon HID off, say, eBay, is simply a cheaper version of a more expensive Philips or Osram equivalent - especially if it even comes packaged with the same brand name!

If Philips and Osram could profitably market their bulbs at £10 each, I suspect they might well do so.  They don’t because the development costs, the materials they use and the manufacturing technology demanded by the precision assembly of the finished item, puts it into a different price category.

The counterfeiters are not troubled by such considerations.  It is not difficult to assemble a bulb that appears to produce the same level of ‘brightness’, but that’s not the major factor.  There’s also the precision control of the light output, and the quality of assembly and materials that will ensure the bulb doesn’t dangerously overheat, with extremely damaging results.

Personally, auto bulbs - as with brake pads, which also attract counterfeiters - are not components on which I would seek to make savings.  I got my Osram D4S bulbs from autobulbsdirect because they are one of Osram’s authorised dealers and the bulbs come in certified packs.  I believe Philips operate a similar system.

I suggest that a few moments spent researching the subject of counterfeit auto bulbs might well prove…illuminating.

I think he just meant a cheaper bulb as in a cheaper brand of bulb not a counterfeit bulb,

ive gone with D-lumina bulbs from amazon, even if they only last one or 2 winters that’ll do me.
