  1. I have just tested the front off side strut on my Lexus RX350, and it is leaking. Is there anyone who reconditions these, or failing that where is the best (cheapest) place to buy, its a 2006 so I don't want to spend silly money on it, but would like to keep it on air rather than coils Thanks.
  2. Can some one confirm that the front diff and auto gearbox on my 2006 RX350 are interconnected, and both filled through the dipstick, but have separate drains. And that the transfer case is completely separate
  3. So I have gone for a compromise, and cut the bottom half of the shroud off, which improves the light output, but still covers the ugly yellow bulb from view. And yes, does improve camera view in the dark. Now onto my next mission, parking sensors.
  4. Interesting, just rang my local Toyota dealer at Tamworth, they said they need a part number, not just the name. So rang local Lexus dealer at Birmingham, they said I need Toyota ATF WS, which is different to what I was told. Also they recon the total capacity is only 3.6 litre. Still waiting for my manual in the post, I suppose they are the experts, has anyone else heard of type WS? Good news is only £15 a Litre.
  5. I'm making my way through the check and change list for my service, only hiccup so far is the price of the oil filter wrench (I'm use to sticking a screwdriver through a cartridge) I'm going to change the gearbox oil, so have read through old posts, and a lot of you seem to go for the Mobil 3309 for the RX300, my question is, would this suit my RX350 as I believe they are different gearboxes, thanks
  6. That's what I was after, I always find referring to something like that when servicing is best, I can make myself a chart now and work through it. Cheers.
  7. thanks for the info all, I've ordered one of the Haynes Highlander manuals as I'm a bit old fashioned and like the book in front of me whilst working. Is there much info in the service book (the one they stamp) as mine was lost so I have just a print out from Lexus with all the services and work done.
  8. Hi, I have just bought myself a 2006 RX350 to replace my ever faithful star ship mileage RX300. I intend to maintain it myself, but I'm having trouble finding a maintenance schedule for it, and basic info re oil types. I have seen the Haynes Harrier books on ebay, but worry they may differ to our UK spec models. Any ideas, thanks.
