Can you buy one at Aldi?
I am afraid not dear boy.
But Harrods and Selfridges are having a price war over them. Buy two, get a scullery maid free was the best offer I have seen so far.
That's the deal I went for. The urchins sub for each other when one falls ill with cholera or whatever and the maid cleans up after them and cooks their meager meals.
All works out wonderfully for ME!
I don't have to see them, hear them (except for the ready call, of course) and they are self sufficient, as the scullery girl has such delicate light fingers, she can half inch a whole roast chicken off a rotisserie in broad daylight without anyone seeing a thing.- 2

All this really is BS.
Such a poor show from such a supposedly prestigious brand. In my opinion they really have dented their reputation with behaving just like all the others.
Lexus used to be a cut above, shame really. -
Unfortunately the GEN-1 NX does not have that feature.
However, I got round it in a very simple fashion.
I took under my employ a small Victorian urchin. I send him out barefoot in the snow to warm the car for me. Once the car is toasty warm he gives me a cheery (or is it tearful) cry of "it's all ready for ya Guv'nor". I feed him sparingly as to minimise running costs. The added value is he doubles up as a damn fine chimney sweep, and fetches me a fresh loaf of Hovis bread from the bakery each morning across the cobbled streets of my northern town on his trusty, rusty bicycle.- 1

Thanks for the response Malcolm but my NX is the same as Phillip's, no mention of eCall in my handbook and no button in the light display. My manual does have a section 7 covering emergency procedures but eCall isn't mentioned. I can only conclude that the 2021 NX Premium Sport edition doesn't have it even though the official guidance says "If you buy a new model of car, approved for manufacture after 31 March 2018, it must have the 112-based eCall system installed."
So what has happened ?
Richard
Easy, the mid term face lift production started in September 2017. So the NX phase 1.2 or whatever people are calling it was approved for manufacture before the mandatory requirement.

Not adding much to the discussion, but I've always felt its a bit miserly and penny pinching working out tyre cost, miles per gallon and "I can change my own oil", after all you're buying at £40k+ luxury branded car!
Fill up when needed, replace tyres when they reach the legal limit, service as required. Enjoy your premium purchase and relax.
If I wanted to worry about all those trivial things I'm have bought a JAAAG, and an AA rescue subscription 😂- 2

It's very frustrating. What on earth do they think is going to happen. When people are spending a large amount of money on a car, they are going to want the backup and support of a premium retailer. 'Coming weeks' is just not good enough, i'm sorry. There's no reason why they cannot give an accurate time frame for product delivery.
There are plenty of reasons why an accurate time frame cannot be given for product delivery.
Delays in R&D, testing, manufacture, international shipping, local distribution, availability of tech to train/instruct on how to install, just to name a few.
Even with all that sorted you still have the challenge of customer availability too!- 2

Mine does a daft thing of "unlock you phone" etc, even though its set to be active on lock screen.
Then it (siri) asks which app to use to send messages. The annying thing is I don't have messenger or Whatsapp, just iMessage, yet it asks every flipping time! -
A beige Lexus?
I can hear the jokes being formulated already.

The send to car feature never worked properly on my previous RX and I found the satnav completely useless anyway.
When I purchased the NX it was made clear to me that the app did not support the old “send to car” feature although it was hoped that it would do at some point in the future.
I still find the on board satnav pretty useless so just use Google maps hence I can pre plan a route if I need to.
Personally I use Waze, but I get where you're coming from.
But, the whole map thing on the app is useless. can't even plot a route, so at this stage the send to car feature is redundant anyway.
But like in anything, either provide a full service, or don't bother. this half arsed approach just frustrates folk -

No problems with the app here, everything works just fine 👍
Really?
The map send to car feature is still missing on mine. And can't plot a route, so basically useless. -

Hi!
That’s an interesting feedback, do you know if it can be solved under Lexus warranty?
I wouldn't know, best ask Lexus.
But, I doubt it, as they are a wear & tear part on a 6 year old car, also depends on mileage.- 1

Congratulations. I'm sure you wont regret it.
With regards to insurance, don't disregard trying Lexus Motor Insurance. Despite some owners on here being quoted quite astronomical figures by them, I personally have found them to be quite competitive (both on my previous 2018 NX and my current 2022 model). They offer repairs by Lexus approved body-shops using genuine Lexus parts.
Also don't forget that the true value of an insurance company, regardless of cost or other factors, only comes to light when you need to make a claim.
Lexus insurance quoted me £13,200 for the first year of ownership back in 2020. Ended up with the AA for £900.00.

Sounds like one of your CV joints is on the way out.
front wheel drive, you are likely hearing a failing half shaft on on side of the car or the other. The creaking and clicking comes from the worn out components of one or the other CV joints on the half shaft which connects the transaxle to the front wheels

I must be lucky somehow.
Bought new in 2020 NX300h with premium plus pack, list over £40k at £42,500. Actually paid only £37,500.
Paid my VED as you have to. Just paid VED back in February, only £170.00, the highest I've ever paid so far.
I was warned by the dealer of the "envy" tax, and was prepared for it. So far in 4 years of ownership haven't been charged the additional Posh-Payment.- 1

That dash is leather, not plastic.

I do hope you are wanting to read all the track information while parked up, and not while driving.

Why did you accept a new car with the wrong wheels?

Mine was stolen last week and police don't care. They are being stolen using the CANbus method.
We all need to band together and get a class action lawsuit.

You have to leave the mirror command switch on R or L.
No you don't.
You leave the mirror door switch in the centre for both mirrors and make sure your settings are to auto. -

That's so badly written. Or, maybe it's my tired brain this morning.
I read it as:
Cornering lights will come on when you turn the wheel, indicate and are reversing.
And......
After turning the corner backwards the Cornering Light stays on for 30 minutes ???? 30 seconds surely. -
NX300h 2020, so the pensioner here but,
10 speaker Pioneer system loud enough to annoy your neighbours when coming home at night, with a Sub that shifts enough wind to rattle the back window and rear view mirror and all free "standard" (NX version dependant)

I have this feature on my JDM 2004 Toyota Celsior (Lexus LS430) but they only activate when the headlights are on, it’s dark and the indicator for that side is on.
UK specification cars don’t have this feature.
Mine only come on when using headlights, but based on how far you turn the wheel, rather than indicators based. As I suppose you could turn a corner on a dark lane with no one around to indicate your intention to, so you simply don't bother using the indicators.
-
Personally, I find them useful. Also, for me anyway, they aren't so bright that they fool me into thinking there's an oncoming car, besides which the light is illuminating away from your car and not towards.
They are just a bit of extra illumination when turning. I don't even notice them unless I look down purposefully. Pretty much the same as using the fog lights.

I simply unlock the car and leave the key in the door handle.
Car stays unlocked, and I know where the key is.
