Turned out to be the cambelt was 1 tooth out, perfect now, amazing though, it ran fine being 1 tooth out?

Error code P1346 vvti sensor/camshaft position sensor circuit range performance problem- bank1 Had this error code come on, cambelt was changed recently, engine runs OK, anybody any ideas?
