Indeed DVLA does use the UF40- format which I do have, but unfortunately lexus.uk only wants the JTH vin number. But given that the only reason I need it is to register with Lexus UK, and if as you say they wont know anything about the car, then not sure if that's still useful. Thanks again Steve. Michael

Hi all, Just imported a 2008 LS460 from Japan (arrived a month ago, shipping being completely disrupted nowadays), and trying to register the car with Lexus.uk website. But cannot find the 15 digit VIN, starting with JTH, required for registering the car on the site, anywhere in the car. The chrome plate on the side of the front passenger door only has the UF40- code. And cannot find anything else on the dash or the engine bay. Anyone knows of other places to check, or whether one can look up the JTH number from the UF40- code? Many thanks Michael
