My RX is just that bit too tall for me to comfortably clean the roof
What do others use? It must be stable for use on gravel and support ~12st I'd rather a platform type thing rather than steps
Jet wash or machine car wash. My neighbours would never let me washing at home. I don’t use illegal Albanian hand car washes either and encourage all of you guys to avoid them as well.

Only that I don't have that problem on my 2018 RX. Maybe it's time for an eye test?
It’s nothing to do with the eye test…it won’t help the dipped beam range. The road is just simply not lit further than 20-30 yards ahead which is more than dangerous.
It’s time for an eye test for you if you think this is great when is not:

2016 RX, 2018 RX, 2017 NX, 2018 IS. The brightness is brilliant but the distance of the lit area ahead is terrible, literally a blind driving, dangerous in certain areas, like dark country roads, etc. it’s easy to adjust but if I raise the lights, it would cause an instant failure on the mot, not to mention the on immigration vehicles get dazzled.
Any comment? -

Unfortunately for me the local Lexus dealer in Cork does not offer any service plan.
This isn’t a dealer specific thing. You should be provided with the same figures whichever dealership you go to.

Fair point for cars under 10 years old or 100K miles, but as you should be aware many owners on here have cars far in excess of that and therefore not covered by relax. Again it is a personal choice and I am not sure why that is hard to see. Not everyone is in the same position as you or will hold the same view with regard to relax and dealer servicing. I personally use a dealer for servicing, as I feel that is a better choice for me now. Personal choice. 😃
I also have two Toyotas both over 10 years old and I choose to use a good independent garage to service and MOT, the right choice I feel for those vehicles. Personal choice. 😃
I meant for cars which still qualify for the Relax.
Over 10 years/100k miles is a fair point, but only if genuine parts fitted, following the manufactures guidelines, procedures.

Okay, many owners do and are completely happy. As always it is personal choice.

With the Relax warranty, what’s the point?

Which Lexus model are you referring to?
I have found the LED headlights (not the bladescan version) on the Gen 4 RX to be excellent (way better than Xenon's in previous cars) and the auto dip function also works well.

Do what?
Take it to an independent garage. I would never let them to touch my car.

Why would you do that?

@robpace had similar problems I believe?

Standard Lexus LED headlights are terrible, they aim way too low and the main dealer says it’s ok, nothing wrong with it. Not sure if the blade lights make any difference in this regard.

I collected the new NX. However, there is an occasional noise from the cabin rear / tailgate (not sure the exact area) while on bumpy road. The noise something like plastic stuff crashing each other, not too loud but I can hear it as the cabin is quiet after window closed.
anyone else have experience on this from new NX?
Accept it. Brand new or 10 years old...doesnt matter. The noise will always be there eventually. I learnt this after several years of fights with unwanted noises.

Please also note that RX has just 2.9% PCP rate, while NX has 4.9% and used cars have 9.9%
Do you mean the brand new cars? Approved used RXs have never been 2.9%.

We bought the Car outright.
Quite a few things he said that i don't think he should have said and when its finally fixed, Lexus Gatwick, Motorline and Lexus UK ( That i got involved a few weeks ago and have been great ! ) will be getting an email about what i think of the service we've been given.
Don't know if you know, but i had already returned a 66 Plate to them after finding out it had Filler in one of the Door Posts.
My Panel Beater friend confirmed it had had a replacement Wing at least and the whole Front End had been resprayed with Panels not aligning correctly.
Did we want to keep it if they aligned the Panels correctly i was asked !!
The F - Sport was the replacement !!
Wow, didn’t know that. Was it this car by any chance? I wanted to buy it but quickly scrapped the idea after measured the paint thickness. That’s the first thing I always do before any test drive arranged.

We did look at taking it back and getting it replaced but the replacement had to be Grey with Black Interior and Lexus Gatwick said they couldn't find a replacement.
Spoke to them yesterday and they said Engine is stripped and they are waiting for replacement parts but didn't say which parts.
We have had a terrible experience dealing with them and still have Replacement Option but it should be perfect when we finally get it back or it will definitely be swapped this time.
Most disappointing thing for us was the Aftersales Manager telling us its a Characteristic Sound of that Engine.
Yes, it’s very sad, I know how ironic he can be sometimes, even with customers. Hopefully your car will get fixed for good. May I ask if you bought the car outright or on finance? If it’s the latter, what’s their practice with this exchange policy? Do you have to go through another full credit application, including another hard search etc (which can damage your credit score) or they sort it out ‘in house’ ? -
Sorry to read that you’re still having this nightmare. I don’t really understand why you haven’t returned the car in the end. If it was a Premier, I would properly understand as they’re really rare. But finding another F Sport model doesn’t seem to be difficult at all.

They have a 30 days/1000 miles exchange policy. Have you exceeded it yet?

Any update on the case? I’m really interested about the outcome.

Morning all,
I was washing the car this morning and noticed, for the first time, some “hazy” patches on the roof of the car. We bought it new in November 2017.
You can just about see them in the photos - most seem to be in a line along the centre of the roof aligned to the GPS aerial.
The car has only ever been washed by hand, never parked under trees and has had no paint repairs. As far as I can recall, we’ve always washed off bird poop swiftly. And the pattern looks too straight for that.
I’m aware that the paint warranty is only 3 years but I still think I should approach the dealer as to my mind, there’s a strong chance that this is some sort of defect.
What do you think?

“The car has only ever been washed by hand, ”Maybe this is the biggest problem. When will you guys stop using the illegal, Albanian hand car washes which employ those poor slaves illegally? Do you think their cheap chemicals have any benefit to your paint?

How did you manage to get a courtesy car at all? And how did they allow you to choose a certain model? Every time I asked one there was nothing available in the next 2-3 weeks. And I didn’t even have a specific need, just a regular car with 4 wheels and tyres.
