I had the same thing last year. It turned out to be the sun roof blind track which had a loose bolt/rivet. It took the garage ages to find the problem, but once they traced the problem , they fixed it. Try wedging the blind (between the blind and the roof cover) ( don`t close the blind) to see if that stops it---- it did with mine. java script:emoticon(':)') smilie

I also had a creaking noise from the sun roof of my new is 200--I traced it to the rubber seal around the glass where it contacted the bodywork. I cured the problem by very lightly smearing SILICON grease on the rubber.(don`t use normal grease --will attack the rubber)

I have just read "vince-com" excellent article on fitting the Quanan Sensors. He shows the sensors spray painted. I have tried to obtain a spray paint for my Is 200 (Platinum Ice) from the dealers but was told that only touch up paint was available. Assuming that the spray paint can`t be obtained without having it specially made up--very costly!--Has anyone found a way round the problem?

I am a new member and this is my first post. I have just bought my new is 200 se auto,I previously had a toyota avensis. I notice that the lexus does not return to centre steering position after turning--is this normal? I have to centre the steering manually.
