  1. Why would you want to disable a safety device ?
  2. I have just this morning seen a 21 plate as a taxi. Hetes me thinking taxi drivers are not doing so well at the moment !
  3. I have had my second run, my first was from Leeds whete I bought the car, so didn't take much notice of the fuel consumption. Second run to my brothers up on the pennies, so a up hill and down dale country run, returned 67.3 mpg. I thought that was mighty impressive, just like the scenery.
  4. After looking at a video on you tube on show the actual electric motors and gear wheels inside the gearbox, and how the work together, I now just leave it in 'D'. I have just come from Jaguars, they are torque converter boxes which shoukd not be left in drive, hence the original question.
  5. Hi, New to Lexus, just bought a ES300h, my question is, shoukd I leave it in drive when stood at lights etc ? I changed from a XJ, if I was stood at lights or 'T' junction for a long time, I would put it into 'N' until ready to move off. This is because it was a Automatic transmission, should I do this with a CVT ?
