Thats what Opie oils website show me when I put my car reg. in and I selected 10w 30 🙈 Thank you for your advice Ill ring them tomorrow to change the order😁 Do you think the Motul 8100 Eco-Nergy 5w-30 Fully Synthetic Car Engine Oil would be ok as that is the first one the website is advising from the 5w30 range?

Hello, I was wondering if Motul 4000 Motion 10w-30 Mineral Car Engine Oil would be a good choice for my Lexus IS200 1G-FE engine with 90 000miles on the clock? The manual says to use 5w 30 but i was reading and a lot of people recommend to use 10w 30 when getting close to 100k miles?

Thank you very much for your replies I appriciate it 😊 @Mihanicos I do not have the knowledge and skills to be able to to inspect valves and pistons, I would end up probably dping more harm than good 😁 @note Your car seems to "tick" alot less. But also my phone seems to pick out the ticking noise better than my ears can 🤷 So far the cars runs fine, no engine light no faults so I think its all good, I guess the time will show. The idle is very steady at arround 650 RPM when is warm so I guess the valves are ok for now. Im going to do the service on it with my friend. Change oil, filters, power steering fluid and spark plugs and see maybe it will idle quieter. I found the Denso IK20TT spark plugs for £48 for 6 of them.

On the power side, i only have the car for arround 3 weeks now, i feel like the car had littlebut more power before but i think I only got used to the car 😁 I noticed that the engine seems to be ticking louder than before the timing belt change but again im not sure maybe its just my paranoia hopefully

Hi guys i took good quality video of the engine sound, does that sound ok to you or do you recon the valves are gone?

😁 I picked up the car yesterday, he reassembled it he said he made sure everything is 100% right by hes book. I asked about the valves if there could be any damage to them he assured me there wasnt any damage to them at all. The engine is running smooth, i cant hear any noise from the engine at all that shouldnt be there, I took it for a spin yesterday to see if the engine light will not come ON again but it didnt so everything seems to be fine we will see in next few days hopefully nothing will come on and the car will be fine fingers crossed 😁

Hi guys I took thw car to mechanic and he said it looks like i have a "lip" on the brake disc so I guess Ill need to change the discs and Ill get the bearings done too

Hi guys, I just had my timing belt and water pump changed. I drove the car from the garage arround 10miles the car was running nicely no sounds no issues, the next day i drove to work and the yellow check engine light went ON, then the car started driving very lazy like it was in limp mode? Took it back to the mechanic and he found the belt was off by one tooth. He redone the the belt and should be fine now Im going to pick the car up tomorrow. I read all the topics i could find here and people mention alot "bent valves". What is the chance of having bent valves if I drove the car for arround 20 miles with having the belt one tooth off? 😭

The tyre and the rim is brand new on that side now but didnt solve the issue but thanks 🙂

Hi Steve thank you 😊 I have not checked the other side. I was sure it was the tyre making the noise so I did not look for anything else. The only thing i tried was spinning the tyre while it was in the air and it was spinning freely. On my day off from work i will try lift the car and look for the shield if its bent and also lift the other side and check how the brakes look on that side. I swapped just 1 wheel as I want to do the complet timing belt and water pump change so i need to bring it to garage. Also I want to attempt make full service by my self but it will be first time so we will see how it goes. My budget is not unlimited so I need to take it by steps... The other 3 tyres are on the list too 👍😁

Hello, I have just bought my Lexus IS200 automatic from year 2004 a week ago. Its my first car so Im just starting to learn everything. So here is the problem, when im driving arround 30mph and up I can hear a very low pitched noise kinda like "whom whom whom whom" from left front wheel. If i go faster arround 60 it just makes the noise littlebit more often maybe 3 times per second. The steering wheel doesnt vibrate, the pedals dont vibrate if driving or braking, the steering wheel doesnt turn only tiny bit but i would assume thats normal if the road is not cometely flat and straight. There was bubble on the side of the old tyre and the tyre was worn on the outside so i swapped for brand new tyre and brand new rim. But the sound is the same. I was reading through all the topics i could find and people was writing about bearing but that sound from the videos was more like high pitched "vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" not my "whom whom whom whom". Also when im braking the brake squeaks only on that side but i have plenty left on the brake pad? I hope maybe someone can help me with this as I dont have much experience and I dont have much condifence in the wheel as the paranoia kicks in and i start worrying about the wheel coming off or something at higher speed 🙈. I will be thankfull for any advice from you
