Just been out to the car and the same settings were disabled as described by @hintonwood  I enabled these settings and all appears to be OK again (the Lexus Link+ app is now reporting the car's correct location and I assume that my journeys will be recorded again).

Looks like the recent software upgrade was to blame for disabling the Connected Services settings.

    Today’s update Andy….

    Car Location still working.

    Trip recording still not working.

Connected services had reverted to off agin so I had to re-enable them and agree to terms & conditions again.😡 I assume that when I go out to the car tomorrow they will have turned off again!🤬 Takumi craftsmanship my A*rse!

Is it something to do with sharing geolocation, there is somewhere in settings that you have to make sure that it is selected.

Just been out to the car. Went to Settings, Info and Security and noticed that all connected services are disabled. Had to enable them and agree to terms & conditions etc to restore them. Location of Car now shows up in Lexus Link+ and I expect my trips will now be recorded.

Just need my traffic info to show on navigation screen now.😡

  3. I also note that I have lost the traffic flow information on the Satnav Map.

Pre update as soon as I turned the car on I could see which roads were congested around me - even down to which side of the carriageway was slow (orange) or standstill (red). That has disappeared.

In addition, Does anyone know what this symbol is? - The one with two arrows and a line through it? Maybe that is sating that traffic status doesn’t work? I have searched the manual and can’t find an answer.

If you really want peace of mind & dont want to be stranded either charge it once a month or keep a jump pack in the boot ready to go I.e noco GB40 Cost approx £80.

I would keep the booster in the main cabin so that if the Battery is flat you have easy access to it. Otherwise you would have to put the rear seats down to try and access the boot.

I had the software upgrade on Tuesday. Since then none of my journeys have been recorded in the Lexus Link+ app and the "find my car" facility is not working either. Both worked fine before the upgrade.

Anyone else having the same issues?

YES Andy, I have the same issue. No trips recorded and no current car location.🤬

Did the update this morning, only took 13 mins including the reboot and a quick look at the results. I don't see any significant changes but all my favourites and trip data are still there so I'm happy!

Not sure how I can lose dozens of favourites and recent trips and you keep yours Alex!😡🤔

I assume you don't have a battery charger to fully charge it up? If not you don't actually need to drive the vehicle, you can just leave it in 'Ready' mode for it to charge the battery - turn off the heating system so the petrol engine doesn't fire up all the time to keep the cabin warm.

Yes, Colin, I do have a trickle charger I used to use for my motorcycle batteries on the basis that they were ridden infrequently. I wouldn’t expect to have to use it on a £50k+ car that is driven over 10k miles a year… In any case, my car is too far from the house to plug the charger in.

As advised by the AA and others on these forums, I have been putting the car into ‘Ready Mode’ when hoovering the floor mats or loading / unloading the boot - something I have never had to do with any other car!

I have raised the matter with Lexus again.

  8. I did the same as Neil and purchased the voltage meter for £6.49.

After 2 x 20 minute drives yesterday it showed 11.8v. I took my multimeter and tested across the Battery terminals and the reading was 11.94 so the device was showing .14v light.

Today I again did 2 x 20 minute journeys. The Battery voltage at the terminals is 11.96v. The voltage when charging is 14.4v

I am concerned that a normal voltage for a fully charged car Battery is 12.8v. Lexus had the car for a day last month after I had to call the AA out when the Battery went flat sitting on my drive for 8 days over Christmas. Lexus said the Battery is perfect and everything is working as expected and no unexpected drain occurring.

I am interested to learn if anyone thinks this can be considered normal voltage for a supposedly ‘healthy’ Battery?

  9. This was covered in this thread last October - my experience is included having owned both cars.

A further point - my annual Road Tax on the NX left my account today - £ 560😱 There is a  surcharge included for the car having a list price of over £40k. My UX was just under the limit.

All four doors frozen this morning. Warm water and patience was the highly unsatisfactory solution. I have my car booked in early next month for replacement handles and the dealership said I can use the manual unlock (using the blade key in the fob) as a temporary solution.

Had my doors fixed yesterday. Prior to that I had to use warm water on two occasions in the last few weeks. I put the warm water in a flask and took it with me in case it froze again at my destination.

Just to update - I replaced my Bridgestones with Cross Climate 2s. Might be anecdotal, however, it does seem to be quieter inside on the roads I have driven on. I have yet to take it on a motorway, however, it does appear to be quieter.

I would expect any brand new set of tyres to be quieter than worn ones because there is more depth to the tread. Mine have 19000 miles on them and I think they have got noisier with tread wear. Again, it is anecdotal and subjective though.

I always go for the top spec when buying a car, I had an IS300h Premier, now have a NX350h Takumi, as I don't want to regret not getting the full spec if I had a lower model. I also keep my cars for eight to ten years so I want to have all the luxury features for the duration.

Obviously a personal preference and I am lucky to have the funds to do it, although my wife still says why don't you get a Toyota Yaris as that gets you from A to B.

    My reasoning also. 👍
