Yes Len they are the company who will fit it, they are coming later this week, ill report back once i have had it for a week with the pros and cons.
I have the same problem with my drive, very open, in fact i could put bollards everywhere along the front and they could drive round them and out next doors, I have a few feet of wall across the front of my drive with a pillar, so it can be done, as you say anything to slow them down or prevent them from trying in the first place,
Any update as to your thoughts on the bollard please?

So, I got the Small Disklock today with the protective steering cover.
Even at the tightest setting it is still not a snug fit but seems like it will not come off unless the thieves are prepared spend time on it. Hopefully it should be an effective deterrent.
Not sure I am prepared to commit to a Ghost (or some other) intrusive immobiliser due to warranty. Will confirm with the dealership when I bring the car in for service and MOT.

It's not supposed to be a snug fit
It's meant to spin on the steering wheel so there is less purchase on it for the miscreants to force it

Shell V5 and Tesco momentum have zilch ethanol I understand
it’s the ethanol that’s the plastics killer in older cars

Both Shell and Tesco contain ethanol. Esso did the only ethanol free but that changed in September. As far as I'm aware there is no ethanol free fuel in the UK any longer

I use this one and find it okay. Doesn't smell like car leather, more like shoe leather in my opinion. All very subjective though
They also do a new car smell. Not tried it myself

Polishes are abrasive
Car Wax sometimes contains abrasives

Still waiting to hear about a plate for our ES. They've been targeted too. Already a couple on here.
I'd certainly be interested in getting the plates fitted to my ES

Thanks for all the replies

Thanks for the replies both 👍 I didn't fancy leaving a cable bought from AliExpress permanently plugged in if it was always on

Does anyone know if the USB sockets inside the 'ashtray' are permanently live please?

It will certainly fit other models, including first gen NX. Not sure about other models but I suspect it is somewhat universal across the range.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully this will be rolled out to all, though I would imagine it will cost Toyota a fair bit of all owners want it fitted

Hopefully the plate isn't just for the RX, not seen any mention of plates in circulation for the other models

Thanks for the review. I'm a bit dubious with the poor packaging and lack of a case. Looking ay their website I see they offer a 3 year warranty for £3.99....wonder if it's 'worth the paper it's written on'

Dont think there's much leather, more pleather !
I am using Adams Interior Detailer with Microban. Spray on a microfibre cloth and wipe.
No horrible glossy finish, just clean. It also has UV protection properties. There are different scents (I currently use the Cedarwood) but there's not really a lot of smell to it

I have had a Ghost fitted from new, 2017, i haven't had any problems, if it will stop the latest way's cars are now stolen i don't know, something you would have to look into.
It doesn't stop the damage being caused though, that's a benefit of a visible deterrent..to hopefully send them on to someone else's car

There are plenty of wheel cleaners that don't damage alloy wheels

The problem with that list is the fact it doesn't give the year range. Fiesta, Golf etc. have been in production for a very long time. I would imagine that the percentage of Lexus vehicles owned in the areas would be small in any case. A better percentage would be those stolen out of of the numbers owned / parked on that area. I've seen elsewhere on the forum where it has been said something like seven Lexus stolen in one area in one night (I believe it was Richmond)
Also you would have to consider, along with the age of the vehicle, how many were 'joyriders' where the vehicles are later recovered. The Lexus, Land Rover etc are being stolen for export

I wonder if dealers will offer thisot perhaps it's tied to a deal with the underwriters of Lexus insurance

Do they arrange fitting or is that down to you?

Thanks for the reply PDM
