  1. Lexus Chester weren't aware of the bulletin but new handles now on order.

Stopped to put petrol in on the way to the dealer and found the (previously fixed) petrol flap wouldn't open, eventually got it open, went into pay and then couldn't open the car door until I'd warmed the button up with my fingers !

  2. For more info

In case of interest I just installed an AA wireless adaptor - seems to work well. The adaptor is small enough to fit in the slot above the USB ports and connects in about 10-15 seconds. (I already had the short cable with right angled connectors, from amazon, to make it neater when plugging the phone in)

I had read that they are difficult to get hold of but ordered it Last Tuesday night and it was delivered yesterday. Cost was $89 + $35 for UPS express shipping. Although a US company they ship from Hong Kong for European orders.  https://shop.aawireless.io/

Only issue when first tried it was an error message saying the car clock didn't match the Android device clock (phone is a Samsung A52). You have to have to download the AAwireless app and enable by-pass mode. Apparently this means some app features don't work but nothing that affects the basic operation of connecting to the car and using AA as if it was plugged in.

  3. Same - code never arrived but then got into the app anyway and the remote control section appeared a few minutes later (android).

Although you can enter a destination in the 'where to' box in the map I can't see a way of sending it to the car. If you go to the Lexus website (link posted above) and click on the 'how to guide' links on the Lexus website it takes you to blank web pages !

  4. I originally ordered a POD point with the OZEV grant but had to cancel the order because the NX hadn't been added to the list of approved vehicles in time. I started with the supplied 3 pin cable but had to use an extension cable as didn't have an outside socket and it was a bit of pain. Now got a Wallbox charger (it was the cheapest option and the grant is no longer available unless you live in a flat) via Evolution Solutions for about £900 (they do 0% finance). Standard installation - tethered cable and is much less hassle being able to park, take the plug out of the holder and plug in. The wallbox unit works fine and the app shows detailed info on charging sessions, cost etc.

Note: you only need a 7kW charger - using a 22kW fast charger doesn't reduce charging time because the car can only charge at 6.6kW max.

  5. I had an annoying rattle from somewhere around the passenger side pillar until I realised that the front seat belt buckle doesn't always lie flat against the pillar and is slightly twisted after the passenger has taken it off.

Also have an occasional one from the driver's footwell, noticeable when coasting at low speed on rough surfaces. Haven't got to the bottom of it yet, I mentioned it to the dealer when I took it for the recall but they didn't find anything and weren't really interested.

Sorry - Malcolm, my figures were based on only getting 25 miles of EV range and how much petrol would be needed for the same distance.

According to my Wallbox app the average kW for a full charge is somewhere around 14.8kW. The EV range might drop to 0 at around 30% but I've noticed the battery is sometimes used further (eg. when setting off at low speeds etc ) so charge level carries on reducing below that level.
