  1. Door switches frozen again this morning, had to pour warm water on them before I could get into the (pre-heated) car. New handles were ordered in December, the dealer wasn't aware of the issue until I spoke to them.
  2. Also had issues with not being able to see through the windscreen as the washers were frozen. My old Volvo had heated washers but don't think the NX has.
  3. Lexus Chester weren't aware of the bulletin but new handles now on order. Stopped to put petrol in on the way to the dealer and found the (previously fixed) petrol flap wouldn't open, eventually got it open, went into pay and then couldn't open the car door until I'd warmed the button up with my fingers !
  4. Use link above to see the previous post, photos etc..
  5. For more info In case of interest I just installed an AA wireless adaptor - seems to work well. The adaptor is small enough to fit in the slot above the USB ports and connects in about 10-15 seconds. (I already had the short cable with right angled connectors, from Amazon, to make it neater when plugging the phone in) I had read that they are difficult to get hold of but ordered it Last Tuesday night and it was delivered yesterday. Cost was $89 + $35 for UPS express shipping. Although a US company they ship from Hong Kong for European orders. https://shop.aawireless.io/ Only issue when first tried it was an error message saying the car clock didn't match the Android device clock (phone is a Samsung A52). You have to have to download the AAwireless app and enable by-pass mode. Apparently this means some app features don't work but nothing that affects the basic operation of connecting to the car and using AA as if it was plugged in. https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/134814-wireless-android-auto/?do=findComment&comment=1251573
  6. ordered my NX450H+ with a towbar but not sure where it was fitted. Just wondered if anyone has had the issue I'm having - my previous Volvo knew when a trailer was fitted and automatically disabled the rear collision warnings but the NX keeps slamming the brakes on while I'm reversing and I have to manually switch off some of the safety systems every time I restart the car.
  7. 450H+ FSport with 20" Bridgestones is pretty smooth even on bad roads (with cracks) and sports mode is fine as well. Had a lift in a 3 series BMW recently which was terrible in comparison
  8. Only goes back to August 8th but not something I need to look at so not an issue for me
  9. App works OK for my 2022 NX. Seems to be accurate with journeys and location - better than the old App. EV & petrol range is ok but predicted total range is wrong. The main update expected was send navigation to car but still can't do that although the blurb says you can.
  10. Same - code never arrived but then got into the app anyway and the remote control section appeared a few minutes later (android). Although you can enter a destination in the 'where to' box in the map I can't see a way of sending it to the car. If you go to the Lexus website (link posted above) and click on the 'how to guide' links on the Lexus website it takes you to blank web pages !
  11. I've got a Thinkware camera with an OBD power cable - works fine and it's easy to hide the cable under the windscreen trim and A pillar without having to take the A pillar trim off
  12. I initially thought there was a fault because the circular icon, top right, to switch to the apps screen had disappeared but there is now a square icon in the bottom right. Also if you tap the map icon while the map is in the right hand window it goes full screen.
  13. There have been a few posts previously on wireless Android Auto including the one below Also got in the car this morning and realised I now have the Android Auto Coolwalk update - haven't figured out all the changes yet but you can now have the Google map across the full width of the screen
  14. I originally ordered a POD point with the OZEV grant but had to cancel the order because the NX hadn't been added to the list of approved vehicles in time. I started with the supplied 3 pin cable but had to use an extension cable as didn't have an outside socket and it was a bit of pain. Now got a Wallbox charger (it was the cheapest option and the grant is no longer available unless you live in a flat) via Evolution Solutions for about £900 (they do 0% finance). Standard installation - tethered cable and is much less hassle being able to park, take the plug out of the holder and plug in. The wallbox unit works fine and the app shows detailed info on charging sessions, cost etc. Note: you only need a 7kW charger - using a 22kW fast charger doesn't reduce charging time because the car can only charge at 6.6kW max.
  15. I paid £128 for 3 year total loss gap insurance with ALA for a lease car
  16. Doesn't help you but mine works fine after the update. Defrosted the car from a hotel room this morning.
  17. There are times when I want to unlock the car with the touch sensor but not open the door - for example to unlock the charging flap. As said above the reason for the push button is because the handle itself doesn't pull out as with most (all?) other cars.
  18. My 2022 FSport also has a factory fitted towbar. (Think they have to cut the bumper). Not sure about 2018 models.
  19. As LenT said, you just need to press Park and then the passenger can open the door. Agree that I also have an issue with not being able to see the boot button in the dark.
  20. There is a touch sensor at the back of the handle which unlocks the doors but you have to push it in slightly to open them, one of my rear door buttons was frozen for a few days but the other 3 were fine. The frozen one still opened normally from the inside.
  21. I had an annoying rattle from somewhere around the passenger side pillar until I realised that the front seat belt buckle doesn't always lie flat against the pillar and is slightly twisted after the passenger has taken it off. Also have an occasional one from the driver's footwell, noticeable when coasting at low speed on rough surfaces. Haven't got to the bottom of it yet, I mentioned it to the dealer when I took it for the recall but they didn't find anything and weren't really interested.
  22. It was charged in the evening and driven the next morning, I'll try that and see if it helps, thanks.
  23. Could be but still wouldn't have expected such a big drop. I need to do some more journeys to get a better feel for it.
