  1. Hi folks, The other week I fitted one of these devices to my wife's Kia EV6. Not exaggerating, it took me less than two minutes to fit, and involved sliding down the plastic cover over the connector behind the auto-dipping interior mirror, unplugging this connector & fitting the adaptor between the plug & socket. This draws power when the ignition's turned on, sends it to the USB socket that's part of the adaptor, & works a treat. Dongar supply a short length of USB cable, two different types to suit most dashcams. It was a bit fiddly jamming the additional plug & cables behind the cover, but a damn sight easier than grovelling around in fuseboxes & routing cabling. Being encouraged by this, I ordered another one for my Lexus LC 500, which I fitted today. The correct version is the "10-pin Type B For Select Toyota/Lexus Vehicles", which fits fine. You have to slide down the plastic cover over the connector behind the interior mirror, then lever the cover to the side. This cover's actually in two pieces, and when you lever it, it releases with a bit of a bang! Thankfully no damage done...I used one of those plastic trim levers, which did the job. The additional plug can be jammed up behind the cover & headlining, where it's invisible to anyone sitting in the car. Dongar Technologies are in the USA, but they supplied both these adaptors within ten days, so it's no hassle at all. The company couldn't have been more helpful, and responded almost instantly to a question I had about the fitment.
  2. I'm about to get my LC 500, and looking through the umpteen uTube videos on the car (as you do...) I came across a superb tutorial on all its many features, explained in a crystal-clear and logical manner. It's made by Northside Lexus, an American dealer, & it looks like they do other similar tutorials for different models. The one I watched is called "2022 & 2021 Lexus LC Full Tutorial - Deep Dive" if you want to search for it (not sure we're allowed to post uTube links here). An hour & a half long, but very detailed and comprehensive. OK, my car's not new, but most of the content is relevant to the older models too. Highly recommended!
  3. LenT's suggestion is the best one. I've done this with several previous cars, no need to mess about with crocodile clips. The CTEK unit sits in the boot, which will shut just fine on the thin cable.
