Oh update, lexus checked out the camera and it is indeed duff! so any ideas for any good lexus parts apart from lexus obviously..? cheers

Did the test and all ok. seems to be some connection as play with wiring behind panel on boot lid and changs lines on screen a bit. Rang lexus parts for price on new camera NOT fitted and was £460 odd.. OUCH!! So booked in for service this week and getting them to check wiring but best option might be to get 12 month warranty and then get camera sorted on that. I am probably selling car next month so will sell with 12 month warranty which is always a godo selling point ;)

I have a 2003 SE-L and this happened to me last year... I noticed the brake warning light came on so rung lexus and they said needs to come in for new pads etc which was due any how. I had to have a curtesy car so waited 10 days for this. 7 days later I was driving up the M1 and the pedal started to go soft then completed went to the floor metal to metal! I managed to stop from 85ish and them limped to the nearest lexus dealer. I got the car shipped back to my dealer and got a train home (paid for by lexus)! When I asked they said the pads had warn through and they had replaced the pads and discs now and picked up the car some £400 worse off on the saturday. Monday I drove up the M1 again and guess what.. same happened! this time I was nearer my main dealer so took it in there and went ape! I left and went home and later was told it was the brake mast cylinder that was at fault. I had to wait 4 weeks to get this fixed, got a rx Se to drive mean time but did not get too much else from Lexus so I complained officially. did not hear anything else so not too impressed... Just be carefull and get this checked as mine really was 2 near misses at high speed. thank *** for good handling to scream across 3 lanes of traffic to the hard shoulder! Cheers

ha ok how do I get to the service menu, is this the standard one from the front menu :) Also any idea how much a camera cost.. lol maybe I will nip to PCworld and get a web cam! :) Andy

Yes I shall go have a fiddle and hope for the best.. warranty only lasts 60k or 3 years.. :( cheers

Hi, I have an 03 Rx300 SEL with 73k on it and a few weeks ago the reversing camera started to stop working. when put in reverse sometimes it was clear and sometimes it was just garbage.. now it does not work at all and just blank screen like scanning for new tv station! I am not sure if it is a loose cable or camera itself. I have got it booked into Lexus but no warrant now on the vehicle and a bit worried about cost! Any advice or experience would be great! cheers Andy

How did you disconnetc the CD changer, it is all in the front correct behind the console?

Hi, Having bought an RX 300 SE-L a few months ago and VERY happy with it I was wondering if anyone has managed to find an AUDIO IN for the stereo. I want to add an MP3 jukebox to it and not sure how really. Also where is the DVD for the sat nav kept? cheers Morty
