............sure this has cropped up before
From being in the retail sector, Im not a big believer in "free" but hope you prove me wrong buddy.
I too am wary of this kind of thing, however I'm not losing anything and I get a good deal on some DVD's. I took the risk and the Channel DVD club is totally above board, no real catches at all. :)

Hiya All,
Long time no see.
Found this link on a golfing website. It seems pretty genuine, read all the terms and conditions and there are a few ifs and buts, but no real catches.
I went for the 2 DVD's for £10 offer, Xmas is coming after all !!
The prices on Channel DVD's website are reasonable as well after you take the offer. I was a bit wary, but its okay.
Give it a go, I'll post back when I get me new ipod !
Cheers,
bigsul

Well I have a fairly new IS, alloys are going on the inside edges and the paint scratches if looked at in the wrong way!...
Anyone got the paint fixed under warentee or am I on a looser there? It seems to scratch even if I just chuck water at it!
I got the bonnet and wings resprayed under warranty.
-
Eurgh!
In a word ... "Bogging".
It might have better paint, alloys, stereo, etc though. However the first IS should have had them!

I bought a portable one off eBay, from Hong Kong cost £150 with delivery. 7" screen, multi region, with full car kit, bag etc. Best thing is you can take it out to avoid the smash and grab robbing scumbags. Used it for a 3 hour each way journey, little lads never been so quiet.
You really don't need to spend a fortune.

Rain wizard is an alternative.
Better than Rain X, but still don't use it on the windscreen.

thanks guys, sounds like the is300 is a better bet, will have too go to lexus hadleigh and see what they can do for me.
Buy mine for a fraction of the cost, open to offers :) .
They are £18k on the forecourt, same age as mine.

Yep! I got the excessive wear on the front's inside at @14k.
Took the car to Lexus Nottingham, who said that if there was a fault with the car it would be sorted free of charge. Low and behold the tracking was out, they stung me big style for the job. £140 as I recall, got a bit of discount for LOC membership when I got up off the floor. Strangely they never had a print out of the initial geometry check. They did a crap job aswell, and I had to take it back another day so they could do it properly .
I think the geometry is set up wrong during manufacture or something. I told Lexus that too. Part of the reason I got all that free work done.
It is a big problem and Lexus UK should face up to it.
I shall now climb down off my soap box, and shut up!!

what you people reckon of these tyres GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 GSD2. Thanks
GS-D3's are very good and look smart. I have them on the front's on my IS.

Hello again Wxman,
I contacted you on .net about this kit last year.
Hurry up and get the kit sorted out man, I am sick tired of these naff red lights.
-
I didnt kick up a fuss but he saw that i werent too happy, so he tired to do his best to fix the problem!! TOPMAN, i'm sure most other places would have come up with some excuse or other....
Result !! :D
Glad you had a positive outcome mate. If you don't ask, you don't get!

The same alloy damage happened to me a few months ago. The garage paid for two new/ refurbed alloys.
I did have a receipt though.
Ask, the worst they can do is say "No".

Why not keep the Lex, and move again!
Not a bad plan, move to Blackpool for a couple of years.
There again ....... !!

Starfish.

Keep it, and get an oil burner
Or have u considered LPG? but that will only cut down and fuel... servicing and everything still the same... or it also invalidate your lexus warranty too
Keep it and get a diesel, mmm, a nice idea :D . Leaving me £18000 worse off though. Doh!
The LPG thing is a really good idea though, next year after the warranty has run out. I'll look into it. Good one. :) That'll mean I can keep her ........ and the car!!
p.s. I can afford to run the car, I'm probably just worrying without reason as I am travelling longer distances now.
-
Too true matey.
Those prices make you feel depressed, don't they. I may just keep it. I love driving it, so why not? I just don't drive it as often as I should. Rob a bank mate and you can treat her right, the car that is!! Hell, even the missus could go for the right price.
