  1. yeah i have no claims and its protected and very low excess. I will need to increase my excess to try and bring it down when i renew. not looking forward to the shafting. i'm planning to fit an immobiliser, looks like the pandora BT mini is good because it looks it'll cause the alarm to go off when they break the bumper, another company suggested this : https://www.autowatch.co.uk/veh-sec/alarm-upgrade/12-autowatch-695-can-bus-universal-alarm-system on top of ghost 2 immobiliser not clear on pandora bt mini cost but the ghost 2 immobi and advanced alarms are 499+499

  4. Apparently a piece of body is bent so lexus have sent me to estimate from Toyota body shop. Cost from lexus if no damage to body quoted as £350. Told me to get a ghost immobiliser, nothing else they can do. Didn't even recommend an installer. update: toyota body shop quoting 3k, replace wing and bumper ...ffs

Hi, Attempted to steal my nx300h 68 plate last night, neighbour got woken up and called police, Alarm went off and by the time I clocked on from deep sleep I didn't see any1 near the car or running away. Alarm stopped by the time I went to get the keys. I saw that the mirrors were open so I thought maybe car unlocked, I didn't attempt to lock the car. I watched to see if anything will happen, within a min police drove by, then within another min another one came and pulled up next to my car, then the other came back again. When police man opened the car the alarm went off again, Initially I thought some1 collided on passenger side as I park on the road, only after the police ran their dog they came and talked to me, told me it's the canbus attempt to steal. I'm at the dealers now I don't want to go insurance unless it's costly to repair the front arch. They've taken quite a bit off and broken bits Hybrid and headlight offline I had a hard time insuring it last year, I should've looked into why. Ended up paying so much for insurance.
  6. it should be ON by default, I don't use it because its a button I need to press. I might use it on long journeys. also the seat heating on my old NX stays ON even after stop start, this should probably turn off. not sure how this is implemented on the new NX
  7. not sure if I should be replying on an old thread but I have good news, my car has finally been upgraded with android auto/apple car play. had it done Monday (at official Lexus dealer) after couple of calls in march to Lexus HQ (possibly the missing part was available). is it good? display wise yes but bit mixed as I don't get the HUD directions while using google/waze via android auto - I haven't cycled through the HUD display options yet though the Lexus nav has also been upgraded as it was on some old version so that's good as well.
  8. the guy actually told me its a physical part which i find surprising, two dealers have told me its on back order so not too sure what's going on.

I'm not paying for the upgrade, it was part of the purchase that it would be upgraded. yes the car has full service history and 12 months warranty since its an official lexus dealer. is there anyway I can check if the car can be upgraded to have android auto? I don't want them to turn around and say it can't be upgraded later on from official website: Lexus NX models produced from September 2018 to September 2019 mines a 68 plate from mylexus vehicle delivery date: 10/12/2018

Hi guys, I have a couple of questions with regards to a used car i bought from an official lexus dealer. recently purchased a 68 plate premier model which didn't have latest sat nav or apple carplay/android auto but the dealers told me that it can be upgraded, i asked them to upgrade but they said some licence key is on back order and couldn't be done before i pick up the vehicle. This task was then switched to a dealer near to where i live and they booked an appointment to do it, Today i got a call saying they had to cancel the booking as the item is still in back order and won't know until 10th of Feb whether they can go ahead. even then the guy said they can't tell if it can be upgraded until they try and do it. by the 10th of Feb I will have had the vehicle for more than 1 month. 1. is the dealer giving me the run around? I don't believe he doesn't know whether it can be upgrade or not, i didn't like the tone of his voice either, he sounded like he was doing me a favour and i should be thankful for it 2. as i've recently bought the car, should i take it for a check with lets say AA/RAC used car check? it is a dealer approved car 3. am i overreacting and let this "dragging on" is normal? thank you

Hi, I'm about to close a deal on buying a 2018 Lexus with a Lexus dealer, it comes with the usual 10 year warranty and all that but if I have an issue within 6 months what are my rights? the dealer is telling me i can take my car to any lexus dealer and get it fixed, what kind of cost am i looking at? parts? labour? or both? apologies if this is all in an FAQ
