  1. Good morning, I have a NX450 h+ delivered in April and has 5500 miles on the clock. Yesterday whilst sat in the vehicle, waiting for my wife to come back from shopping, I had the DAB radio on listening to the Ryder Cup. After about 30 mins the 12v battery went flat, cut the power and locked me in the car! I was in a covered car park so the headlights were on Auto. I called for AA assistance who came with 40 mins and discovered the battery was down to 7v. He got me restarted and we were able to proceed on our journey. Anyone else experienced problems with the 12v battery? Thanks
  2. I ordered a protection pack for my NX450H+ however, as someone said this is a pre-delivery fitted item. My vehicle’s delivery was delayed due to shortage of mudflaps so, to expedite delivery, I cancelled the protection pack. Eventually when the vehicle was delivered, without locking wheel nut, the vehicle arrived with mud flaps. My dealer was completely gobsmacked!!
  3. My dealer, Lexus Twickenham / Currie Motors has been very responsive. Unexpectedly they seem to be dealing with a manufacturer who keeps them in the dark. I was contacted by Lexus for feedback on Friday unfortunately I was unable to talk to them. Hopefully they’ll call back this week when I have more time.
  4. Clinkers, I decided, having waited so long, to take delivery despite the locking wheel nut issue at my risk.
  5. I’m relieved to advise everyone that my new NX was hand delivered by Lexus Twickenham on Friday afternoon. Some 4 weeks later than initially advised and without a locking wheel which may become subject of a class recall. The dealer has been brilliant, from my perspective, but Lexus have been awful, far too secretive. So far the driving experience has been highly satisfactory, we have a 200 mile journey tomorrow so that will be a good test. Thanks to one and all for their comments and virtual support. Much appreciated.
  6. Thanks HMT. I have already agreed to accept delivery without mudflaps and without a locking wheel nut. Lexus Customer Service are not engaged as the vehicle isn’t yet in my possession. I have also, using LinkedIn, escalated the issue to a Director of Lexus U.K. and await a response. Unfortunately I live 300+ miles from my dealer and can’t sit on his desk until the issue is resolved. Will keep you posted.
  7. The latest on delayed delivery of my NX450H+ is that Derby won’t release it now as it won’t have a locking wheel nut. Allegedly the manufacturer can’t supply new NX300s and 450s with them. This is allegedly delaying delivery of 1,000+ vehicles. Surely these are manufactured in Japan and supplied prior to the vessel departing Toyota City. Anyone else heard this new excuse???
  8. I’ve just been advised by my dealer that Lexus have advised him that the delay in delivery is due to a lack of mudguards which are provided as part of my Protection Pack. The mudguards are, allegedly, manufactured in Russia, or Ukraine and are in very short supply. Therefore the car will be delivered without them and I will be reimbursed for the purchase price. The vehicle could be delivered, sans mudguards, by the end of the week. Watch this space…
  9. Nemesis U.K., many thanks. Sadly Lexus Twickenham seemed to rely on me telling them which ship and where it was in the world. Similarly they have struggled to get much, if any, information from Derby.
  10. Thanks Max G. I’ll certainly contact Lexus CR. I was going to try a Director of Lexus U.K. I discovered on LinkedIn.
  11. Harry Junior, in a formeR life I worked for a shipping company so used my experience to investigate Portbury vessel arrivals and worked backwards to Toyota City departure to calculate which vessel it was on. I will certainly let everyone know if I receive the vehicle.
  12. Mine was on the Wisteria Ace which docked at Portbury on 14th March, a month ago.
