It’s the Takumi in the description. I was in the same boat but I didn't check before buying the car and the dealer had said it was circa the same cost as my Takumi NX. I could only get Tescos to insure me with 9+ year NC and a clean licence. Everyone else on Compare sites just didn’t offer a quote. Couldn’t even get Lexus to insure me! Think most insurers were expecting a tracker to be fitted before considering offering up a quote which might have to be the next step before I renew next year

Hear hear! The only company I could get insurance with when I got my RX was Tescos! That’s with a clean licence and 10+ year NCB. It’s was quite a shocker and couldn’t even get a price from Lexus. It was a straight No. I’m thinking it’s because the car hasn’t got a tracker and is a Takumi variant.

I could only get Tescos to insure me as the vehicle didn’t have a tracker in it! Just because my RX is a Takumi and even Lexus wouldn’t insure me but the dealership didn’t mention that when I brought the car, I had to flag it to them

By way of update, email sent to Lexus at 12:15 and local dealer called at 16:15 to book me in. Thats quality customer service. I was informed though that the initial roll out was just for dealers inside the M25 and not for the rest of the country yet. As I emailed though they are making an exception and I’m all booked in.

Hi…. Sorry I am late coming into this. I have just brought a 2022 RXL and keen to get a plate fitted. Could someone share the email address for that we need to contact and didn’t know if there was a template email someone had composed? On another note, had a real issue getting insurance as apart from Tesco I couldn’t get insurance, not even from Lexus themselves and that’s with a clean license and 30+ year driving! Presume there’s a thread about that too which I will find! what have I let myself in for lol
