Today marks another milestone! It’s now 6 months today my ES has been with the dealership with no end in sight. I have escalated to the Lexus Director mentioned above, their customer care and phoned dealership for updates! The current response is that w tevhinal case has been raised with Toyota!! I booked a Nx in Jan( scheduled to be delivered in 2 weeks) where this was supposed to go as part ex from another dealership in Lincoln! Now I have no clarity on how this will be handled I have been offered 500£ coupon for the inconvenience for any new car/parts/service! just curious on how people here would have handled this!

I had an ES loaner which had a hybrid malfunction, then an. RZ as they didn’t have a bigger car to fit an isofix(with no 3 pin charger provided), then a CHR and then currently a NX.

5 Months in, there is still no clear update on when the car will be fixed. I have sent a mail to the Lexus UK Director, lets see what happens. The dealership was unable to fix the original issue. After the engine build road test, the juddering still persists. there is no error codes so dealership have refferredd to lexus UK

The car is stilL with the dealership. I have been given a cramped CRV as a loaner. What is a reasonable time frame for engine rebuild. It went to the dealership 1st week of September. How do I escalate this to Lexus corporate?

They are waiting for Lexus/toyota to approve and decide if it’s a repair or a new engine. It’s been a long wait and public charging is sooo expensive. And the charging speed curve of the rz doesn’t help. They didn’t include the home charging cable.

The dealership has been okayish! I had to chase them to know what the issue was and then the technician working was on holiday. So it took them around 15 days to find the actual issue and get the warranty approval. The loaner was an f sport takumi pack which I enjoyed for the two weeks. I was asked to come to the dealership around 28 miles (45mim) away for the RZ but they called me back in 10 mins to offer a collection and delivery in the next hour which was nice. the battery was 80% and haven’t had a chance to charge it yet. Planning to go later tonight after dinner for a quick coffee and charge.

I used to notice a slight judder from the engine maybe once a month, but over the past month it became more frequent — sometimes the car would sit for a couple of seconds with the accelerator pressed before moving. I took it to Lexus, and after a week of testing they suspected a leaky injector. Replacing the injector seal didn’t solve it though. Further investigation revealed that one of the cylinders had actually hydrolocked due to the leak, which ended up bending a con rod. The car’s been with them for 3 weeks now. Thankfully, the repairs are being covered under warranty, which is a big relief. On a side note, the loan car they gave me (another ’73 plate ES) threw up a hybrid malfunction error. The dealership then offered me either a UX or an RZ. Since I’ve got a road trip planned this weekend to the southeast, I’m taking the RZ (need to fit a pram)— should be interesting planning routes with charging and range in mind. I’ve already downloaded Zap-Map, PlugShare, and Electroverse to help with charging stops.

Hey, I am upgrading from my 2023 ES to the RX450h+. I looked at carwow and currently there is a 4k deposit contribution with 1.9 apr for deal going on on the premium plus. There is another 4700 dealer discount which makes the over all discount of around 12% on the 69k list price. It looks like a pretty good deal and was just wondering if anyone else has anything better offered?

I purchased my new ES in September. I dont see any options to set a temperature value on the Lexus link+ app. i emailed lexus and they told me setting a specific temp is not applicable for ES. Is this correct?

I got the Ghost 2 installed from Carkeys in south east london this weekend. I am now more comfortable leaving the car at public car parks without constantly tracking the airtag i have hidden in the car. It took just over 2 hours. i was given a great guidance on how to use it, change codes and do's and donts. 5 stars to them. it costed me £500. I had bought a milenco lock as a buffer. The installer suggested that i stop using it now as it will invite morons who will cut the steering wheel to remove it and then fail to start the car, so i am looking at more damage to pay for. The next step is installing a dash cam, front and rear. I have an unused viofo 129 pro. Which ones are popular with the forum. The dealership informed that they have the nextbase 380 GWX. Any reviews?

I am a first time owner in the UK. I have purchased a new ES recently. I had some trouble with the lexus link app which i am waiting to hear back from from the dealer. I was wondering in these cases where i get called back into the dealership to get it fixed( a 130 mile round trip), do they reimburse the fuel cost? There is then a second cost of time spent away from work. What would be your expectations and what is your experience?

I did add the car again using the registration and followed the authorization steps where i had to enter car milege. didnt work. Have dropped an email to dealership.

i have done that as well. Didnt work. will reach out to dealer tomorrow. I can see the DCM icon on the screen in car is grayed out. maybe something to do with that.

Its here! The handover experience was very smooth at Cambridge. the sales was was very helpful throughout with my queries. The car was parked inside the showroom when we arrived and the color looks amazing and suits the car. I went with black interiors. The only niggle was the car not being updated in the Link+ app. i was told that this gets fixed after i take a first long trip, which it did but the experience could have been better. I only persisiting issue is i am unable to access andf view the menu in app where i can remotely prepare the car with aircon/heating/sending navigation. i would need your assistance with it. adding screenshots from my app.

So the Car arrived at Cambridge on 6th but there was a sale event the whole week so couldnt get the car. i have now arranged the pickup for this Saturday!! Very excited for the the first Lexus! Cant wait to see it in flesh as i have never seen the car in this paint on the road.

This could be right based on my experience. I am getting mine in next couple of weeks. I was told 3 months in June when i placed the order. But i never got any updates on my app. i had to contact my dealer in Cambridge to see where we are.

The car it at the Derby Centre now. The countdown begins. no work from the dealership on the exact date yet.

I have never had detailing of any kind done before. I have a 2001 ford focus which gets a monthly wash and vacuum. 😄 Is there something specific to search for to look out for like product name/franchise? I did a quick google search and there were so many results. I am near Peterborough if someone can suggest places in 50 mile radius.
